Tis called a Cerfiro, and looks like dis:

I'm pretty sure Australia got the 30S Touring version...(?) Actually I'm not sure, but the Aussie version got a V6 too, right?

Anyway, the 08/94 - 11/98 Japanese versions all came in FF and MT/AT 'missions and were called "HA32" (or A32 as Cefiro freaks would call it). Oddly enough, only the 2.0L base models had a MT option for the 08/94 to 11/98 versions, and the engine in the 3.0L models was a VQ30DE... now you know whats in the current Skyline! (albeit a newer VQ30DE).

Unfortunately, this car is NOT a performer in any sense of the word. There are some Cefiro clubs in Japan and some guys do mod them, but with the A32 mostly they just put Navi gear and lower them with alloys and fluffy animals on the dash... nothing to get exicted over.

Theres no turbo version, those faded away with the A31 Cefiro. And thats pretty much why no one mods the A32...

E-HA32 Cefiro 3.0 30S Touring

Engine: VQ30DE

Power: 220ps

Torque: 28.5kg/m @ 4400rpm

Drive: FF

Mission: AT

Weight: 1380kg

Standard gear such as LSD, 16" alloys, power seats, rear spoiler, ABS and driver/passenger/door airbags. The 220ps version is the most powerful one.

In the states, what we know as the Maxima (and Asia knows as the Cefiro) is called the "Infiniti I30" and is pretty much part for part the same as what we have.

The vehicle sold and marketed in America as the Nissan Maxima has a very different body to the Infiniti (ie our Maxima) however has the same engine and setup. The US Maxima, because of it's more aggressive looks is marketed as a sports luxury car.

Although Maximas are by no definition, a sports car (FWD) they have a very powerful and reliable engine, and in fact the VQ30DE won the award for `Best V6' in the USA 4 years in a row. That's pretty fricking impressive.

You could check out http://www.maxima.org for some ideas on how you could put a turbo in a VQ engine, as some people in the states do do this. My sugguestion though, would be supercharge and Steve Miller (of Stillen) has done this to a handful of Maxima's around the world and sells it as the `Stillen SMX'.

Hope you get some good ideas and I would be very interested to see if your project goes through. :)
