How Far Can It Stretch?

Hey guys just wondering if these tyres will fit on my rims

245/40/R18's on a 18x12 rim?

I have a 235/45 tyre streached over a 9.5 rim. They are streached but i could probally go as far as a 215 and that would be extreme. So my guess would be no..

pretty sure miso (PWND) has 215's on his 10" rims, so id say yes..............but why lol

lol ok guys thanks for ur replies, reason i was asking is because im looking at getting a set of bf goodrich and thats the widest they come in...

oh and btw im putting 225/40/R18's on my fronts which are 18x10

as long as the tyre pressures were up above 35psi it was fine if they dropped the tyre would come off the rim if there was heavy pressure on the side wall like going side ways.

i know a guy with 295s on 13" wide rims on his widebody gtr. it only just worked. illegal as all hell. looked pretty stupid too. dont do it.

18x10(fronts) - 225/40/R18

18x12(rears) - 265/40/R18

stop being a stooge and buy proper tyres, what is the point of getting 12" rims otherwise?

some people like the look of stretched tyres...me being one of those people and a lot of other people on this forum are the same. obviously u dont and thats fair enough.

Is it also neccissary for the tyres to be stretched for the 12" rims to fit on a GT-T?

Wouldnt have thought it was possible without some serious guard work?

its only possible with a serious wide body or Rediculars guard work

i'm going with the wide body option

nope you could do it without widebody.... but it's not easy

there's a photo on slammed society somewhere of an s14 with 12's on stock metal....

You should have looked into the availability and price of tyres before you bought the rims. Still not too late to sell them and buy some more appropriate to your needs and budget.

mate, he's buying bf goodrich...so i dont think he's too concerned $$ wise otherwise there's heaps of other wider options in the budget tyre range. some ppl just like the stretched look, 245 is pushing it to the extremes and i dont think that many tyre shops around will know how to mount these properly.
