Simple green is the way to go - great product and most importantly, eco friendly product.

You do really need to HP rinse, just cover the coilpacks areas, etc and don't get too up close and personal with the HP unit

if u dont have a high pressure unit just go down to a pay n spray at a petrol station :)

Was planning on switching the GT for something, but way too attached so theres gonna be a mass load of mods going to it

im never happy with what i can do myself i really need a pro to do the first one and then just maintain it after that but theres not much in perth

Throttle body cleaner will strip your paint... Id use kenco degreaser only for best results... dont get that stuff on your hands either.. I soaked my fingers in that degreaser and it looked like my hands had no meat on them and shrivelled skin for two or three days

You can also try a bit of car polisher in some spots, they remove hardened soot and even polish up dulled paint in the engine bay left by harsh chemicals.  Rusted bolts can be cleaned up a bit as well when the polisher is used with a toothbrush.
