Alex's biz is going well, has a c63 amg now.

I have NFI who started this ewar shit(as I don't frequent this place), I just know the place degraded around the time some of these "new" members who happen to be m35 owners came along.

it is true, search the forum right here. you'll notice a trend.......

I had around the 5th or 6th stagea in Adelaide, back then (6yrs ago, almost) there were around 50-70 series 1 C34's in the country and that was it.

I bought my S1 just as the series-2 was available. Prices for the cheapest S2 was 27k all others were 30k, I got the cheapest S1 at the time at 18k, full Dayz and got a bargain, with genuine kms (books), all other S1's started at 20k most were 24k

M35 was not available

'Twas a great time to be on the stagea forum, EVERYONE was nice. Helpful, considerate of others. in fact a few members helped me just by being there, when my hours were darkest.

Now, well you can keep it. Doesnt feel like 'home' anymore. Seems the keyboard warrior attitude of the Internet in general spilled into the sau stagea section around 2yrs ago.

Seems these days performance cars are so cheap kids straight off their Ps can pick one up, with attitude to match. When I got off P's VR's & ED's were still over 20k so there was no chance of performance RB's unless you dealt drugs. That attitude never made it back in the day, thesedays that attitude seems to be the norm?

I think the bong idea was an excellent suggestion. If all those involved in this stupid pedantic shit would sit down and smoke a peace pipe together, we could all get back to what is important - chilli recipes :D

Srsly though, this forum used to be an excellent place to meet like minded individuals.This WAS the reason why, despite only owning a stagea for 5 months I am still around after almost 5 years, and still attending the WA stagea cruises.

Remember kiddies - arguing on the internet is like running in the special olympics, even if you win, everyone will still know you are retarded.

and not just because you own an M35 :ninja:

My big batch of chilis from last season that were in the freezer got thrown out just as I went to make a big batch of sauce.... pwned

Thats one of the best personal descriptions of the "scene" ive seen in a while, pretty much feel the same way being on the older side of 34yrs old ive come and gone from the car scene. On the C34/M35 fighting part i ashamedly admit i dont read enough threads to have seen it yet.

I got my stag as a first car straight off my p's, no drug dealing I saved for 2 years for mine, and i definately wouldnt say I have any sort of attitude problem. One of the reasons I bought a stagea was that after lurking these forums for several months I observed that stagea owners came across as more sensible and mature then other groups of owners, the sort of group I wanted to be part of.

I must agree with you. I bought it while I was still on my P's - and had a clean enough record to get VIC Roads' permission to drive it on my P Plates. I didnt deal drugs either. I worked for 3 years, doing two Jobs (Financial Banking Ombudsman/Audio Engineer) and bought my Stag outright.

I didnt observe owners, as I genuinly liked the car. I was writing the cheque out for an Autech C34. the only reason I didnt is becuase I wanted a later modelled car. I like both.

even if some people think im a smart ass. :teehee:

      Think I found another reason to buy the Q50 rather than the skyline import, seems that unless you get the 400r the other models such as the GT miss out on the decent brakes and don't have the flappy paddles on the steering wheel to change gears. Its my day off work today and the Q50 listed @ the dealer in Brisbane that I mentioned in my 1st post looks like it sold as its listed as no longer available... Would have checked it out but can understand why it sold as it was a bargain price.

      There are fixes for this. In industry we use compressed air for everything. It is frequently wet, and many things cannot tolerate it. So there are various forms of driers available that you can install. The simplest option for something like this would be a dessicant drier. Much cheaper to replace some silica gel than actuator cylinders.

      That's a solid update mate, well done at WA FOS. You may already know this, but the actuators on the paddle shift are a service item and are sadly not that reliable. As I understand it they collect water from the compressor (condensation) which then rusts the bores/pistons in the actuators. A mate of mine had no end of trouble with them in one if his circuit cars, apparently it's a 'known issue'. Buy a couple of spares at great expense to ensure you never have any problems with the ones you've got! Any clues about what the new WTAC rules might be? While faster cars are cool the Pro class arms race has got to the point where you wouldn't even bother entering without a $1m budget and even then I don't think you'd win.

You can search up similar jobs done on a Frontier or Pathfinder with a RE4R01B to get an idea for what the internals are going to look like and the procedure like this:
