i have used autotrans from adelaide to perth and it was 750 bucks - from NSW probably 1200-1400 ?

Just make sure you use a reputable one.

My work mate transported his Ford Focus from QLD. When it got here, there was 1 dent on driver's side door, stone chips and scratches everywhere.

i made the move from sydney to perth and i sold enough household crap that i could fit the car in with the rest of the furniture. strapped everything tight and it arrived about 3 weeks later via sea container safe and sound
