Hey gang

It's good to be back on SAU. Unfortunately I have crossed over to the dark side by purchasing an Evolution VIII MR.

So, I've started making a list of things I want to do and have come across the placement of my boost, oil temp etc gauges on my a-pillar. However there's a question mark over it for me since I'm not particularly sure if this is legal or not (for driver vision reasons) and was wondering how many of you have experience with this. I am in NSW by the way.

Cheers

Shanil

depends on what the copper really thinks, although i had a mate with a 32 and he had 2 gaugues up the pillar and got defected, and another mate had the same setup on a s15 and it was overlooked. i believe to be 100 percent legal the gauge needs to sit under the height of the top of your steering wheel.

I've got 3 gauges on my evo 7 a-pilar and never have I been questioned about them at all. A while back I got a major canary, full emissons test by epa and everything was picked on except my gauges, turbo timer and anything that was wet carbon fibre. So to have tmu, vic roads and epa to go through your car as if you've been smuggling drugs, than i'm sure your fine. This is pure anecdotal evidence :)
