Ah ok. So that's where the mix up was.

Hmmm that sucks. I've allready emailed Daryl so I'll see what he says.

Any chance you guys can send each other the rotors? Postage shouldn't be that much would it?

excellent, had me freaking out, vitaminE when can you send it off? i might be able to send yours tommorow arvo depending if i can finish the job im working on early, but should be fine ( might get the fiance to take it to the post office for me)

send me a PM with your address please dude.

Awesome guys, glad you could sort it out. Had me stressing for a bit!

Daryl replied back and apologies' very much for the slight mix up, he doesn't know how it happened. He is willing to pay the small freight cost via Paypal or something, or if the rear brake group buy goes ahead to take some money off of them for you.

VitaminE is a pain. He hasnt written back yet.

Just noticed he only has 7 posts. Can he use pm?

Can someone pm me his phone number please or msg him my number.

Thanks

Excellent. Sorry I havn't been replying much. I don't have the internet at home at the moment (long story).

Also I updated the DIY thread with my first test drive from the other night :)

Have fitted up my brakes now. And about to do a bleed.

GTR's would be better with a different type of brake line. The stock setup has a hard pipe that runs behind the top of the rotor to the back side of the rotor then a line from there to chassis. I have fitted the supplied hel lines with a few cable ties. After cable tieing the line to the abs wire the line sits within an inch of the front driveshaft.

Will keep an eye on it.

Had a small issue bleeding them. Crack the nipple and the fluid comes out the tread not the nipple. Same on all of them.

Did a quick test in my driveway. Needs another quick bleed all round.

Did ur bleed nipples do the same thing?

Sounds like you undid them too much! Only need to crack em loose :)

thats werid jez, sure the hole on the nipple is not blocked at all, i cant see why the fuild would goto all the effort of going around each thread of the nipple over just coming straight the hole.....somthings up with that man

Have a read of my DIY again man. I updated it with the bleeding procedure and adressed the issue you are mentioning (I did it aswell the first time).

You are cracking the wrong part of the nipple. The actual nipple itself is the black part and has it's own nut. You are cracking the gold part which is what the nipple sits in.

You will know what I mean as soon as you look at it again :)

Keep in mind people, bleed nipples on brakes are tapered flare or ball seat - (ball seat in old euro stuff only usually). Thread tape should NEVER be put on to seal them. If you are referring to the fitting that houses the nipple, that should also never have thread tape on it....use locktite thread sealant or thread lock if you have to. Much better seal that way

Ok elite thanks for the heads up.

Havent done it yet was just thinking of doin it.

Thanks Phil. Ill try it when i do a bleed. It looked too small to me.

    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!) Cockpit Tatebayashi Tokyo Auto Salon booth demo cars. It appears that Emotion R closed down in 2008 and was declared bankrupt in 2010: http://bank-db.com/hasan/208365.
