hey guys,

I have just installed a fmi on my stagea its drives fine when i am driving normal , but if i accelerate hard the engine is cutting out at around 3500 rpm and then picks up again ,still cuts out but not very

noticeable . It feels like i am changing gears on an auto when the first cutout happens at 3500 rpm. I haven't changed the air intake hose still factory rubber type .

sounds like coilpacks breaking down, or perhaps even the air flow metre

might want to spray contact cleaner over the Air flow metre, and cover the coilpacks in Selleys 401 hitemp industrial strength silicone sealant, to help cut down on Arcing

Are you running a little extra boost by any chance as well?

Sounds like rich and retard on the factory ecu.

What model stagea, what modifications?

Could be ur vvt breaking down. does it fell like the engins cutting out or a flat spot??

no extra boost just a fmi, pod, and cat back 2.5 inch

and what is wt breaking down and yeah does feel like a flat spot

your probably maxing out your afm
