Ps2 Power Lead Wtb

HI Guys,

Can anyone suggest somewhere I can get an original Sony power lead for my PS2.

I kinda got my old one stuck somewhere and need to replace it.

I don't want to spend much money on it as I use it so rarely, so 2nd hand would be fine.

Any ideas?

this power lead is the most common of power leads, they come heaps of stuff, its just the 2 prong lead

I actually need the other end- the 8.5? volt transformer and PS2 plug. The wall-socket end was able to be salvaged.

try an electronics shop that sells sony gear (like playstations, etc). they may possibly be able to order you the genuine item, or a 3rd party version.

or after a quick look on ebay, i'd try there first. plenty there, especially if you have the slim version of the ps2.

I'm assuming you've got a slim PS2 (since you need the 8.5V transformer) whereas the fat ones have an internal transformer and so use the same power cord that comes with pretty much all portable cd players/boomboxes and other electronic equipment.

Yep, its one of the slim ones.

I called a Sony Playstation 1300 number and the fellow there (who could not have cared less) said he could get one "for around $24".

Probably the best bet.
