I've got a thread in the WTB section for a pedal box for the clutch in my R32. I thought the box had broken.

Then tonight, while I was pulling it out, I realised that what had really happened was the pivot pin that locates the clutch master pushrod onto the pedal had fallen out. And the reason it fell out - the split pin was missing. And the reason the split pin was missing - I didn't put it in the last time the pedal box broke.

That'l teach me! :thumbdwn:

I admire people that can admit to their own mistake without trying to find a way to blame someone else. At least you've learnt a lesson

I think we have all done some silly thnigs in the past.

One that comes to mind is when I put a 4 speed in to a mates HQ 4 door. Drove off down the road pulled up at the lights only to see heaps of smoke coming out from under the car.. Opps I forgot to slap the gearbox filler plug back with all the excitement.

The funniest one I can remember is when my old man was running around looking for his keys going off at mum saying she always moves his stuff (sound familiar?) looking every where he was, standing in the pantry he put his hand in his pocket and started to rattle his keys subconsiously... damn that was funny. Mum said straight away whats that noise coming from your pocket.. oh nothing money.. he still wouldn't admit it.. lol he then tried to flee the house asap..

Was pretty funny as he was so worked up & angry.. lol..
