I have an older link and want to make a RPM controller so VCT is on always until 5800rpm, any idea of where I could find a unit to hook up to a relay for the VCT?

Thanks

VCT is only useful in the midrange, meaning if you have it going from idle it makes your low end suffer. ideally it should be on i think somewhere around 3500rpm and off again somewhere around 5500-5800 like you said.

personally i'd just buy a new gts link that can accurately control VCT. my car has an older link in it too and it won't see the light of day until i upgrade. been sitting in the shed almost 18 months now

Yeh upgrading costs time and money, as much as id like to. I heard from a tuner that its sweet to just turn off around 5800rpm or alternatively best to leave it on the whole time and sacrifice abit of top end as opposed to leaving it off. Still needa find some way to control it tho.
