Hi,

I recently put the boost up in my car to ~10psi, and it started misfiring so i pulled out the spark plugs to regapp them to 0.8, the car is running fine now however when i pulled out the plugs, they looked white ? I heard this is a sign the car is running lean.

What are some signs that i can look for? I hear everyone refer to 'pinging' but i don't know what that is?

I took some pics of the plugs before i regapped and put them in:

These are new plugs, been in the car for ~2-3days

the old and new plugs are both NGK BKR6EYA, old plugs looked blackish. Running mobil 98 premium, and have upgraded the fuel pump only a few months back to a bosch 040.

Could they be white because i went for a few runs to test out the boost before i gapped them down to 0.8 (they were originally gapped to 1)?
