but the WHOLE LEATHER BIT is ripped and the dealer said they will "fix" it and they put some weird leather thing on it which hurts to touch and looks real bad..

what are my options ? i would want to change to a nice looking sports steering wheel but apparently they're illegal..

and if i can get them done somewhere to one that is legal can you tell me where / price ?

Thanks in advance

unfortunately if you want to retain the airbag then you will either need to get the current steering wheel retrimmed or buy another one exactly the same. A series 2 and R34 wheel wont work with the airbags as they use different plugs.

Like you suggested, an aftermarket wheel is illegal but if your not fussed, then you can get a nice momo wheel etc. Just make sure you get the correct boss kit. (the one for airbag models)
