please clarify

i have been told from numerouse mag wheel dealers that 9.5 on the stagea is to wide and will creat issues

i am looking at dropping my m35 on some BC BR coilovers and running big break kits witch mean ill be running 19 inch mags

so what size width mags can i get with 19s? that i can use on the stagea that wont rub 8.5s or 9s

if i get a spacer does that mean i can go wider ?

with offset does a - or a + offset mean a bigger dish etc

or do u guys recomend 18s for the stagea

Most Aussie tyre shops only sell +40 as that's all they can get. Speedy, ROH and such all do crap offsets.

They're starting to get better as more Falcoon & Crummydore owners buy staggered sets for their bombs, and they're getting a bit more savvy to offset & caliper clearance too.

I tried some 19*9.5 +38 on mine with 245/35/19 tyres and they fit perfectly and could even have gone wider on the rear i.e. lower offset.

Do you have any pics? Was there any suspension work done to it? Any rubbing on full lock?

I've mentioned on another thread that I've found some 19x8x5+35 or 19x9.5+40 from Avant Garde (Model M368) that would suit the M35 really nicely.

^ Agree.

I think that with the Nismo suspension I could fit 19x9.5 with a +35 offset and have 3mm clearance. Not enough for my liking.

Having said that, I just picked up a set of Buddy Club P1 Racing 2's which are 19x9 with a +45. Not ideal so will have to probably run 10mm spacers although I don't know how they will sit with the Autech suspension.

If all else fails, they came with 30mm spacers :P

No pics sorry I didn't end up buying them. They were Buddy Club P1's or something. I can't remember how much clearance but it wasn't much and they never scraped anywhere when I drove on them. I have factory bilstein suspension and my car is quite low which would have helped as well. Still, I would have bought them if they were in better condition as I didn't think the clearance was an issue but maybe the bilstein stuff is different to the Nismo or other factory suspension, I don't know.

Now that I have nisom suspension im looking at wheels. what would these offsets be like

Fronts - 19x8.5 +25

Rears - 19x9.5 +35?? Kinda new to the size and offset thing.

Will you be running in RWD only? Staggered sizes won't work with AWD.

I reckon the 19x8.5 + 25 would be better for piece of mind regarding possible clearance issues.

The 19x9.5's were a +40 with a 5mm spacer. They fit and cleared the suspension, but not by much.

No spacers needed with this size?

Running 18x9+20 with 235/40/18

Car stits 345mm from centre of wheel to top of wheel arch ,

On bc coilovers

No rubbing at all , no guard rolling needed

Just thought I would share for anyone in the near future

What's your camber settings?

    • CTIS (Central Tire Inflation System) has existed since the 80's. I'm looking into buying a Hummer H1 and they generally included it.
    • My idle is set at 950rpm though - Moving the timing around 20 degrees is not really what I'd call a calm idle. That said... neither is chop, by definition. The LS ECU likes to adjust timing to hold idle as opposed to air. It'd work, but generally speaking there'd be a discrepancy in the base idle and the IACV would want to move the timing around anyway to maintain said idle. I think I'm just going to keep the timing steady anyway. Preserve my engine mounts.  My aircon is now officially regassed. As the guy was reversing I noticed my reverse lights do not operate, along with my reverse cam. This is a bit distressing, because 100% of guides talk about which wire to connect to backup cams as "the goes with the [other color] wire". Often when doing conversions. Unfortunately the R34 colour wires aren't documented Unfortunately I had a T56 Magnum gearbox with it's reverse switch, which also isn't documented. Unfortunately there's definitely not documentation for people with both of these in the one car. Unfortunately I forgot. After many hours of this, I have a reverse cam and reverse lights again. The wire going through the trans tunnel to the reverse switch had broken. Upon inspection, it looks like this one wire had about 7 spade terminals and extensions in it.. for reasons I cannot possibly comprehend. I also spent the 750 hours required to clean up the wiring behind my head unit which now looks like this: This is a monumental improvement relative to what used to be there WRT triple gauges, head unit, traction control, wideband controller, and whatever the f**k OEM stuff still exists there in various states of connectivity/needed. Next step is to check in at the Exhaust shop to see/confirm how much clearance I have, to decide what mid mufflers or 'resonators' (which are just straight through, narrower mufflers) I can add and hopefully cut out a lot of exhaust leaks, pinhole, v-band or otherwise. But first step will be to 'take a look' before the next step.
    • Fark the AFM card and Nistune, Haltech Nexus S3, DBW, cruise control, flex fuel, dis dat.
    • It's most likely the bolt/bush where the cover bolts back wore and allowed cover to move forward.
    • Still haven't put the injectors and R35 AFM in so we can tune the bloody thing for the HG highflow it got mid last year! I think I can forecast the upgrade path to a bigger twin scroll, external gate, Haltech, flex setup, Samsonas, dis dat, etc will be .... a while away!
