Dare I ask for a ballpark figure? teehee.gif

Well, my panel guy was able to buff out the scratch (about 4 inches long, half an inch wide) as Mr Stupidhead folded my mirror back with his own mirror whilst he was driving like a Polish housemaid.

So, labour to remove; (min 1/2 hour)$50, paint correction; (min 1/2 hour+polish)$60, insurance excess; $500.

Total cost for not being able to drive your car in a straight line (and then acting like a prick); $610!

If he'd even attempted to apologise, or not carried on like a prize f##kwit; I would have removed it myself, and had my panel guy do it for nothing...

But NOOOOOOOOOO!

WTF kind of name is symond lol, suck to be him what a knob!

Could not agree more! Although if you could've seen his wife; you'd be angry too, if you had to inseminate that  !

He and his shrill loungechair missus are in for a surprise, especially after their categorical refusal to pay for any damage to my car.

Wrong again!

Hahaha what's wrong with people these days, everyone drIves around like their at war with other normal road users

Thing is this, guy possibly (not really) didn't see me to begin with, however, as my mirror was level with his mirror, he would had to have seen me at some point. He just decided to be a bully.

He actually said to me "All you had to do was get on the brakes and I could've got in" So now his problem becomes my problem; I don't think so.

In his mind, it was as if it was a gentle merge; not a full blooded swerve into my lane.

I simply replied "All YOU had to do was get on the brakes and YOU could've got in behind ME. But you're a bully, aren't you?" (this rather pissed him off, lol) and "The other thing you could've done was STAY IN YOUR LANE! Straight ahead was one of several options open to you." That, and a bit of "Well, why don't we call the Police and see what they think?" (This was when the loungechair started screehing)

And all of this at 7am, the road wasn't even busy...

If I have to MAKE a gap for your car; that is the ENTIRE size of you car, there ISN'T a gap to put your car in.pinch.gif How f##king hard is it?

lol....at least you now know why I like the AR-X bump skirt's.....I am quite prepared to use em too! Apparently they work very wellwhistling.gif.

I know I'm going to get caught with this eventually but I have found a slow creep over to the side of your lane doesn't work nearly as good as a brisk throw of the car to the side of the lane!....all still very legal as you have not left your lane!

Lol dude, VERY tempting sometimes...

I'm so paranoid about it at the moment, both my missus car & the Stag seem to have targets painted on them at the moment, her car goes next week for $6000 worth of hail dent removal (the third big repair in less than 2 years; none at fault) my missus was put in hospital for nearly a week by a f##king red light running pensioner last year.

I've just had a gutful of ppl using our cars as brakes...

This just in; got my first irate phone call from my mate  . Apparently imports ARE expensive to repair. After an extensive chat; I politely asked that he refer any further correspondence to Shannons.

He then (stupidly) asked "Why? What are you gonna do if I don't?"

Guess whos getting 10 pizza's tonight?

At 11pm...

And every night this week.

GAME ON, SYMOND.

    • The water pump is know to leak as well. So if the coolant is low checking that first as well as hoses.
    • Reading your posts Josh, sometimes I feel like I've gone in a time machine back to the 90's when everyone was doe-eyed and figuring things out for the first time.  I've lost track of how many single turbo GTR's I've seen on track that haven't burnt down lol. Everything has been figured out a long time ago. These things are at the point now where its essentially turn-key to go single turbo.
    • Among other things yes. Making sure to either use an oil pressure regulator or the right restrictor size for your oil pump/range of oil viscosities you intend to run, making sure you plumb the lines correctly, turbo should be placed such that it siphons properly even when the water pump isn't turning so you don't boil coolant in the turbo after shutdown, oil return should be low resistance and also preferably picking the one that is most likely to return to the pickup as opposed to some other irrelevant part of the pan. It's far from impossible to figure this out but I have seen people really, really struggle and if that's the case it's easier to just take the path of least resistance. To me, bolt-on twin turbos are a fixed cost whereas single turbo is almost unbounded.
    • Latest round of updates on the car. I purchased and installed a SWS clutch slipper to help with 60ft times and got some second-hand good condition 275/40R17 Hoosier DR2 radials. Test and tune in November showed the tyres were an upgrade over my over 15 year old mickey Thompson's and I got a 1.8 second 60ft and pb et of 11.71 but even then, that run wasn't great due to rain and driver error (the event got called off 10 minutes later fast forward to the weekend just gone 25th of Jan and there was finally a break in the weather to let racing happen. The first run the track was slippery and only managed a 12.1@129 Second run the track was better and got a new pb et and mph: 11.54@131   Lith and I then worked out that I installed the previously mentioned clutch slipper incorrectly and its never been working, and I had just been dumping the clutch the entire time, we also noticed it was on street boost and not race boost. So I lined up for a third run with the car turned up in the first two gears, but the passengers side axle objected to clutch dumps and left the chat which stopped my weekend.   so there will be another attempt in the future once I replace the tyres as they rubbed and are stuffed now. but a low 11 should be on the cards.
