Hi all, My name's Jay and I live in Perth. I've just bought my first sensible (cough) car. A 1997 Stagea RSFour. 111,XXX Kms Auto Everything works Sooo nice to drive Very comfy Quiet! I'll probably change the wheels for something bigger and more dishy, maybe throw an exhaust on it, and at next service chuck a K&N airfilter in it. It's going to need a towbar as well, plus since it has lowered springs, I might get some standard ones so that I can actually use the towbar properly, and so the ride isn't so jiggly. Other than that, I shall drive and enjoy...

  Now that you mention it I can see those too. More subtle. The lighting and low resolution makes it hard to assess super well what's going on but what is visible is bad enough to pull the motor.

  Yeah, I wasn't giving two f**ks for the ring running around the bore. I was looking at the vertical scratches running up and down across the hatch marks.

  To me that looks like a rust ring in the bore. An engine that has sat for too long in humid conditions without fogging oil in the bores?

  The last few photos nearly look like rust from the motor sitting around for ages, however I'm semi colour blind so that doesn't help lol.
