Gtr Motors Rb26Dett

Hi guys,

Need help please.

im looking at buying a rb26dett power car not a gtr and trying to find out which model motor is in it,

i know that there was a small issue with the r32 gtr motors with the oil pump drive shaft on the crank. im wanting to make this a race car so that means if it has a 32 motor i should fix that or is that just stories.

any help will be great. i can find anything on the forums

start by getting the engine number. then look it up on this site http://deniliquinsportingcarclub.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=47:engine-number-register&catid=35:nissan-skyline-information&Itemid=9

that will give you an idea of what model it came from. that said, most of the RB26 engines had oil issues, they were just the worst on the early r32's.
