i know what u are saying but for now im just looking to get it on the road as a everyday car so wont be going down that path for awhile.

but i have been doing a bit of reaserch and have found out that seris 1 stageas dont use tip-tronic so im going with that less hassle and i will be getting the stagea ece and auto computer

in the future the gearbox will be getting work done to it just not keen on doing any work to the rb20 auto would rather spend the cash on a rb25 one

just want it do drive good for now then get it registed and on the road. Then ill start the big mods lol!!!!

fix the box then and forget about modding the thing for now. as I said there is no point having a huge amount of power if you have no way to get it to the ground. forget screwing with the electronics - if the current setup works why FK with it. fix the mechanical side of it and then do the rest. you are creating more work for yourself and I'll tell you now that the electronics in these things is nothing to sneeze at for a 20 yr old car. even my old subie with a 98 GT drivleine under it was left alone. the electronics worked fine so I saw no reason to screw with it.

in short do it once and do it right. I'm assuming you are in your early 20s, when I was that age I did a similar thing with a V8 chev. I kept tossing money at it when I should have simply fixed it once and left it alone. 4 engines later I I realised and then built the combo I should have striaght up.

get my point?
