I've done a search and can't find a definitive conclusion whether or not a split pulse manifold and turbo is 'that' much better than a single entry type.

I understand how it all works but was wondering how much better the results are in terms of power and response over a single entry turbo and manifold on a 6 cylinder motor.

Anyone have any dyno comparisons or experience in the matter?

Thanks.

It has been discussed a bit on this forum to be fair, 3-400rpm better spool than the equivalent flowing single pulse setup (you need a bigger a/r twin scroll turbine housing than open housing to compare usually) and better midrange torque for the same boost level... usually. Makes it look like the displacement has been increased a bit.

You need to look at it from the perspective of improving the manifold/turbine/wastegate system. Not too many instances of going from a decently designed collector style manifold, single scroll setup and then straight to a split pulse system using similar/same compressor.

It's fair to say that a good split pulse system offers tangible improvements, hopefully with the new BW turbos coming on stream we will see a few being used on Skylines
