Gearbox Reverse Issues

Hi All,

I have an 04 coupe V35 auto, starting to have problems with putting it into reverse once I shift to reverse give a little gas it just revs like it's in neutral...after moving it through the gears and back to reverse it takes...anyone else having this issue? Any advice on how to fix? Do I need a new gearbox?

when was ur last g/box oil change done?

It was only done about 4 months ago...

check the level. probably just needs topping up!

the dipstick is at the back of the motor on the driver's side.

ONLY use the type of fluid specified on the dipstick.

I would have thought low fluid levels would effect all gears, not just reverse. Would be pertinent to return to the people who serviced it.

Exactly, and tell them dextron 3 is not a good idea in these boxes...

The only fluids I would recommend for the RE5 auto is Nissan matic J or Nulon synth.

also, did they do a full flush or just drain and top-up? ...full flush usually takes around 9-10liters of j-matic
