This question has stumped me as i have no idea what cross member to get

Im trying to put a RB20DET manual gearbox into my factory Auto Laurel.

I havent looked at the differences between a auto floor pan and manual one to see if there are any differences between bolt spacings, ect

But i still havent a clue which one to get!

Parts thread says this;

yeah im trying to look for the same answers but im putting in a 25 box in mine if im reading this right seems i would be ably to use the cross member from my auto box and use it on my manual one with no modding ??

Everyone's side of this story is different.

Try whatever you've got laying, if it doesn't work, you can get one made up from scratch with an engineer's certificate for around $300 give or take.

Or get your dodgey mate with a welder to fab that shit up himself....whichever.

yeah its hard to tell i dont really wanna spend $300 on a x member guess im gonna have to do a bit more digging

by the way as you seem to be in the know :) ceffy manual hand break cable fit lc33 laurel?? yes/no?

auto and manual bodies are different, that being the shifter hole on a manual body is about 60 ish mm further forward, and same with the gearbox mounting, this applies to both cefiro and laurel

for my conversion I used a s14 manual x member (RB20 box)

alright so wonder if this affects the shifting gears once its manual guess can always cut the hole larger if need be...

im guessing the rb20 box would not be the same size as the rb25 has any one out there put a 25 box in a auto laurel and what x member was used?

pretty sure the factory r33 box's x member is used for that, you won't need to cut the hole bigger, shifter does not foul anything it just sits offset in the hole, and the shifter boot you just turn it around backwards bolt it up and looks factory
