hey guys

did some mods to my car and needed to get a new fuel pump installed , so i got a brand new Bosch 040.

had the workshop the car was in to install it as i didnt really have an option

but ever since i got the car back and the petrol has dropped below half a tank , it feels like its just surging...

me and a mate just took the cover and lines off and this is what we discoverd...

shit does NOT look right to me...

the dickbags used carby hose and it basically blew off the top of the pump and cracked because its not reinforced...

top workmanship right there!

so after basically re-doing the install myself my car now runs perfectly. after buying a new ecu, coilpacks , plugs etc...

last time i take my car to a workshop

Name and shame the workshop please. That is a serious error of judgement right there, for the sake of perhaps half an of saved labour, these guys have put your motor at risk.

i will be.

its cost me so much f**king money because i got told it was my ecu , z32 and fuel pump...

so i had to buy a new z32, new ecu & new fuel pump , only to have said pump installed by a monkey.

f**k sake , me and my mates did a better job installing it AT NIGHT WITH AN IPHONE AS A LIGHT then these wankers did...

none of us are mechanics either , just enthusiasts. now thats saying something is it not?

I must admit , i really do love paying money and having my car run lean and surge under load, i really hope it pops a cylinder so i can spend all this money on my money tree ive been growing...

You had an iPhone hovering above the opening of the fuel tank? :D

all that bullshit about mobile phones causing petrol stations to blow up is just that... bullshit. modern phones these days have zero spark producing ability. Furthermore its pretty hard to ignight fuel in some situations... if you lit a ciggy lighter inside a petrol tank it would probably not even light, nore would it ignite anything due to very low levels of oxygen. that said i wouldnt try it ;)

lol ive been stooged by the tool bags at repco twice.

If you ever ask for efi hose make sure u watch them cut it off the drum and read the drum.

For some reason they seem to seem that low pressure carburetta hose is rated to 70 psi and will be fine on my track car.

also its partly my fault for not looking at the hose until i got home.

apart from myself. the only people who touch my car are my father and uncle (both motor mechanics and deisel fitters)

i know both my tuner and engine builder well now and would not let them near the car if i didnt know how reputable they were.
