So I Now Have A Nice Large Dent

Yeah so when I was parking my finally-running car in the garage today, I made the mistake of turning the wheel at the wrong time and pushing the side of my car against a large pile of carpet tiles I have. I now have a rather large dent in the panel which thankfully has no "sharp" points on it so all I need to do is pop it back out. If it's simply part of the panel that's popped itself in, where could I find a good suction cap to put against it and pull it out? I was thinking a GPS windscreen mount would do perfectly, but I don't have one lol. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I'm also going to have fun removing all the black rubber scuff marks on the paint now, and hope to fking God that none of them are scratches

This thread is mainly to vent, but hopefully someone can suggest somewhere I could find an appropriate suction cup as well

Suction cap for the GoPro camera would be the best.

What panel is it? It might be easier to get in behind it.

As to the marks, cut and polish should take them off.

Paul - Don't have a compressor lol. EDIT: watched the video, while I'm sure it probably works to some degree, my own logic plus the comments on that video mean I'll never try it on my skyline thanks anyway though!

Matt - I'd say it's DIRECTLY on the other side of the....ummm.....uhhh.....what WOULD be the inside of the door for the rear seats if it were a 4 door. Below the rear side window. Otherwise the GoPro kit I have didn't come with the suction mount

Eiji - umm to be honest I don't know where the dent starts lol, but it's a fairly large (like 20cm+) area that's popped inwards.

My suction cap should fit then, as it's around 100mm in diameter if you want it. I also have a gopro one but I think the larger one is better.

I pushed out a shopping trolley dent on my r32 from behind. I just removed the rear seat's arm rest, from what you wrote should give you access as well.

I also have a compressor, but I think it's more to do with the -60 degree liquid CO2 at the bottom of the can.

Yeah I realised it meant a can of compressed CO2, hence really cold.

Where do you live/where can I get the suction cap off you? Also, I have no idea how to get the armrest off lol...but that would also be perfect

I've got one of those dent popper kits that use a bit of hot glue and a plastic bridge thingy to pull dents like that out.

Sorry guys I completely forgot to update lol...

Did what Eiji has done and worked out how to remove the rear seat "arm rest" thingy, then push the dint out from the inside. Worked a treat, just took me forever to work out how to fit the damned thing back in place

You can also just use a butane lighter refiller. same effect.
