Nice useable install there.

I had a orion XTR 12 inch sub and custom box which i swapped from my old car and which took up 1/2 of the boot. I had a flat once and had to pull the whole box and amps out to get to the space saver wheel. Ever since then the sub box has not gone back into the car.

Also driving with the space saver on the back suxs balls coz the hicas gets confused with the different rolling diameter of the rims

Usually magnets mess up data storage but electrical wiring i believe is quite safe...

Im not speaking from experience but Im guessing if you put the magnets near relays and what not that maybe it could hold it open or closed?

The install looks sweet as though dude, a lot of effort there, how do the free to air subs sound/go compared to boxed woofers?

how do the free to air subs sound/go compared to boxed woofers?

the free air subs sound suprisingly good, in fact they sound much better without a box then when i had them boxed up to begin with. It was only luck that i got them, i didnt even know they were free air until somone told me, thats when i thought i could install them the way i did. With the design of the skyline boot, i highly recomend getting free air versions, as the sound fills the entire car, rather then just rattling the boot a lot.

is the enclosure space behind the wall large enough? i have those exact subs and they need at least 1cf of space so i just got em with proffesionally made boxes designed for the subs. Congrats on a good job though but you need some grills for em but so do i. Does anyone know where i can get some cheap grills for the VCCS subs??
