I currently have a canon muffler but, not a big fan of the noise it produces. So I decided to uses the Varex X force muffler with a remote volume.

I just want to know peoples opinion on a oval or a canon.

Question is would you use a canon even though its defect-able or use a oval muffler to stay out of trouble?

True once I install this muffler its silent so it wont matter but, sometimes the cops are just a**h***s so, just want to stay out of trouble. The main reason is a I drive my R34 GTT as a daily driver so want to keep the noise down especially if I want to have quiet drive.

In my eyes canons are the best looking things for a sports car but, they are the most eye catchy thing with a car especially with a cop behind you.

After your opinions I will order the exhaust, Thanks for any advice or assistance given.

There is no reason a proper muffler, cannot be legal, look stealth and be reasonably affordable.

Varex cost more, are still deflectable and I'm yet to hear one that gives a decent exhaust note.

I really can't see how they offer anything.

As for the tip, just have it the same size as the exhaust itself. If its 3", just a 3" tip.

This also helps reduce drone and noise.

Otherwise just go twin tip muffler looks much more factory if that's what you want.

ive got a cannon on my car, its quite and sounds awesome when on full boost. when cruising its quite as, it depends what kinda of cannon you buy and what eles you have on the rest of the exhaust.

iv got a fujitsubo oval muffler, sounds great, not tinny or farty in any way... from my experience an oval muffler does sound better... to me anyways. Cannons sound a bit tinny to me and not as clear as a oval muffler, it doesn't really muffle the sound if you know what i mean... lol

Get the biggest straight through muffler you can fit in the original muffler cavity and put a dump pipe on it. The dump pipe directs a lot of sound down at the ground making it sound more quiet if you stand behind it unlike cannons which blert out sound like a megaphone.

It's a good idea to get it tucked up in the original muffler cavity neatly beacause cops love nothing more than seeing a 3" exhaust hanging out on an angle at the back, lookng like it could almost scrape the ground.
