I'm just after a bit of advice with suspension, tyres, guard work etc.

*Rims are 18x9 +30 all round, with 235/40 front and 265/35 rear.

*Suspension is Tein Super Street, 4kg all round.

*Rear guards have the lips rolled, fronts are not done (yet) and have only the upper guard liner remaining

I'm finding that I'm getting a bit of scrubbing on the front, whilst leaning through some corners and turning corners that are downhill/off camber. Basically i'm looking to have no wheel arch gap if possible with this setup, and not have heaps of scrubbing (i can put up with a bit during U turns and the like)

Obviously rolling the front guards is on my to do list - will this fix everything at a height of say 330mm tyre to guard with a 235/40 tyre? Do i need harder springs? I'm also looking to upgrade the swaybar, how much body roll will one of these eliminate?

As for the back, I'm assuming I will have a bit more room (haven't put the rear coilovers in yet). I'm also looking for a similar height. Can i still run the 265 tyre at this height with just rolled guards? I'm willing to go back down to 235 if need be.

265 is a big tyre for a 9" rim you wont need it. rears will fit piss easy though fronts just roll and remove lining if need be could be cos suspension is so soft im on 8/6 and front rubs although its pretty low.

roll should fix all your problemo's

4kg is soft as! I in the front add a touch of camber or lip the guards

Drop a tyre size too as 265 I a bit big. 245/255 at max on a 9in rim

Ok cheers guys, will get the fronts rolled and all guard liners removed. If it keeps happening i might upgrade the springs to 6kg or something.

I'll see how the rear goes, hopefully when it cambers in it shouldn't rub. Next tyres will be 235, the 265s were way too expensive

This is where the fronts are at now... is this low enough? Could I get away with lower?

Car is not a 'daily' as such but it is my only car, and does like to get driven reasonably hard now and then so not looking for epic lows

If you have stock sway bars then upgrading them will make a big difference when cornering hard. ie. you will lean less and therefore not rub as much.

Great, thanks for that Daniel. Do you think i need to bother with the adjustable ones? It's only a street car after all, i was thinking just a heavy duty one would do the trick.

Well i would like to have no/minimal gap (can wedge fingers in there currently)... will give guard roll and swaybars a crack and see what happens

Just chasing some 6kg Tein springs to replace the 4kg fronts on my super streets, which i can source easily enough, however i need to know the exact dimensions etc. I had a look at my current springs just now and could only see CO40 IJC written on them, this doesn't match up with Tein's part numbers however

Does anyone have another part number for 4kg super street springs?

just buy springs locally. King Springs or whatever. All you need is the measurements. Will most likely be 65mm ID, then all you need to know is the free length.

Kings work in lb-in though. 6kg = 335lb. Kings will have 325 or 350lb.
