Dude they are like the hitler youth, I have a clean record and seeing them do an illegal handbrake turn at a no u turn sign to "random breathe test" you is always a good laugh.

How is that funny I'd say its friggin dsigraceful

Speaking of bogans, I pulled up at a 24hr deli about 10pm last night and parked next to a VR commode. The driver of said car was listening to some crap music while waiting for his top bloke mate to exit the shop. I was sitting there idling waiting for my mrs to also exit the shop. As the faggots boyfriend starts to exit the shop, the top bloke cranks up the fast & the furious theme song, starts his 5L with no muffler with his foot flat to the floor, lets it rev to 4k and gives it a couple of pumps. His boyfriend gets in the car and they drive off singing TOO FAST TOO FURIOUS n shit as they make heaps of noise but go nowhere after pulling out on to the road.

These seemed to be those new types of bogans that kind of think they're trendy with their flat brimmed hats, tatts, lip piercings, UNIT stickers etc.

Oh and they were buying nangs (a whole sleeve)

If I wasn't so belted relaxed, I might have said something but instead I just smirked and cranked some House of Pain.

I got only stopped about 5 times in 3 years, 2 where for "random" checks & the others were all breath test.

No one seem to pay much attention to the car... which is good I guess.

SOOO true it's not funny. Alot of people have poor scope of performance cars. Anyone who sees my car straight away goes "is it manual?"

"yes"

"nice, it's a gtr right?"

"no, GTS, non-turbo RWD"

"oh"

*akward silence*

"they made non turbos?"

"yep, i'm driving one"

"why didn't you get a turbo?"

Try being a P-Plater.

I've loved Skylines since I was 10/11 years old, so I decided I'd fork out the dosh for a non-turbo R33 Skyline.

I get pretty much the same thing. Except worst...

"Non turbo ay? Why didn't you jsut buy the turbo? You know you get *insert upgraded components*"

"Yes, I know, I'm not a f**king idiot. Look at whats sticking out to the left of my plates.."

"*insert random jabbering* haha you drive a non-turbo what a waste of money would have been better off buying a turbo *insert more insults*"

I got sick of the constant flack from everyone. So I bought a turbo skyline with the intentions to leave it at home and build it up to the car I've always wanted.

"WHy didn't you buy a GTR? GTSTs are shit rah rah rah R32s are shit rah rah rah R34.. now thats a real car... rah rah rah"

Sooooooo I'm selling both my skylines and I'm going to drive an excel.

You know what's even more annoying..?

"Oh you drive a shitty like excel."

Even worst is my girlfriend

"The excel is a piece of shit"

Mmmm... enjoy your massive loan sweety.

Edit:

In re: to douchebag-driven aussie fuel guzzlers.

Friend was driving his R33 with over 270kwartw.

"supercharged" v8 commonwhore guns it to show off... friend flew up behind him not even trying. Having good chuckles that this guy was trying to lose us and we're there easing up behind him using half his fuel :)

Even better is my friend who has a commonwhore and tried to show off etc.

He goes driving with me, and we were in a massive rush so I was getting there as soon as possible (our jobs could have been on the line if i didn't). So I'm going through backstreets and finally get there. First comment? "I couldn't have taken those corners like that in my commodore..."

Then we decided we'd race. Dead flat, empty road with cars monitoring traffic (well lack-there-of) out in the sticks; nice and safeish. No trees / power lines around, just flat property (no fences). Race to 120.

Guess who won ;]

Also, I never get pulled over any more in my silver R33 :) It's bone stock, and looks clean. I'm often in my office attire when I drive, so cops are just like eh and drive off.

i got stopped twice in an hour.

This can be arranged....

I had an older HWY patrol cop pull me over once, surprisingly was one of the nicer cops i've come across, gave the usual wrap and said 'these cars are pretty quick hey'

couldn't help but smile at that.

I had similar. Got told it was so nicely modified that i would likely never get a defect! He let me off with a warning for too low but that was the only issue he picked up, and I have since fixed it. He was also surprised that susch a stock looking engine bay could make a bit over 400hp to the wheels.

I am a P-Plater, and it shits me to see the current trend of red P-Platers humming around in 5/5.7/6l commys, plates up, car full, and generally not giving a f***, and getting away with it. While i'm stuck copping it for playing by the rules.

Buy a GTR? It's funny how the people who say this typically drive maroon, auto, VN clunk-a-whores with 500,000km. I think even the lightly modded GTST's on the forum would make them s*** their pants.

Coming back from work just then driving on the main road I had some Cop speed up & sit on my a** for about 10 seconds. I noticed it & thought screw this & indicated to turn off at a side street.

He didn't follow.

I then drove back home through a series of small roads.

The end.

Fitting an exhaust pipe the width of a soft drink can to your car won't just attract the attention of the neighbours and passers by, it's likely to get the cops on your tail.

A former senior highway patrol officer says heavily modified Japanese imports garner the most attention from the boys in blue.

"The cars with the big drainpipe exhausts — the Subaru WRXs and the [Nissan] Skylines and [Toyota] Supras — you look pretty hard at because they've usually been heavily modified and the modifications can be illegal," he says.

He doesn't hate US mmmbop..............he just hates YOU :nyaanyaa:

No, you weren't. It's about 100% unlikely that vehicle 'a' is half as efficient at extracting motivation from fuel as vehicle 'b' given what each of them is.

To make power you burn fuel. To make more power you burn more fuel.

Given similar weights to ease up behind him you were burning as much as/more fuel, not half as much.

    • Very decent bit of kit. Definitely black it out I reckon.
    • Because people who want that are buying euros. The people with the money to buy the aftermarket heads and blocks aren’t interested in efficiency or making -7 power, they’re making well over 1,000hp and pretty much only drive them at full throttle  best way to way make money is know your customer base and what they want and don’t spend money making things they don’t want.
    • It's not, but it does feel like a bit of a missed opportunity regardless. For example, what if the cylinder head was redesigned to fit a GDI fuel system? It's worth like two full points of compression ratio when looking at modern GDI turbo vs PFI turbo. I'm pretty reliably surprised at how much less turbo it takes to make similar power out of a modern engine vs something like an RB26. Something with roughly the same dimensions as a -7 on an S55 is making absolutely silly power numbers compared to an RB26. I know there's a ton of power loss from things like high tension rings, high viscosity oil, clutch fan, AWD standby loss, etc but it's something like 700 whp in an F80 M3 vs 400 whp in an R33 GTR. The stock TF035HL4W turbos in an F80 M3 are really rather dinky little things and that's enough to get 400 whp at 18 psi. This just seems unwise no? I thought the general approach is if you aren't knock limited the MFB50 should be held constant through the RPM range. So more timing with RPM, but less timing with more cylinder filling. A VE-based table should accordingly inverse the VE curve of the engine.
    • I've seen tunes from big name workshops with cars making in excess of 700kW and one thing that stood out to me, is that noone is bothering with torque management. Everyone is throwing in as much timing as the motor can take for a pull. Sure that yields pretty numbers on a dyno, but it's not keeping these motors together for more than a few squirts down the straight without blowing coolant or head gaskets. If tuners, paid a bit more attention and took timing out in the mid range, managed boost a bit better, you'll probably see less motors grenading. Not to name names, or anything like that, but I've seen a tune, from a pretty wild GT-R from a big name tuner and I was but perplexed on the amount of timing jammed into it. You would have expected a quite a bit less timing at peak torque versus near the limiter, but there was literally 3 degrees of difference. Sure you want to make as much as possible throughout the RPM range, but why? At the expense of blowing motors? Anyhow I think we've gone off topic enough once again lol.
    • Because that’s not what any of them are building these heads or blocks for. It’s to hold over over 1000hp at the wheels without breaking and none of that stuff is required to make power
