Hey guys,

Am going to be getting my partner to do the minor service on my 34 however was just wondering if you guys had any hints/tips before he starts it. He's done plenty of services before on his own cars and when he was working at my mechanics place, so he knows what he is doing but has never specifically done a Skyline before.

I'll be getting my tip trans serviced by an actual shop as it's time for that to be done as well. Timing belt doesn't have to be done for about 60,000kms.

Any help is appreciated

Cheers

Chanz

Hahahaha lol pats best post for the year to date!

But yes it's no harder then servicing another car. Sparkies will be fun because everything is in the way. Just remember where the hoses go and you will be fine

Just be careful when you replace the plugs to make sure dont knock any shit down into the cyl. Dirt and debris still gets passed the cover and lays around in the valley, only to disloge wen u take the plugs out. Nothing worse than getting a miss after u change the plugs :(

Wasn't super hard, but yet still took over an hour with the use of a guide from the DIY section, which was very helpful.

Turns out the plugs didn't need changing, the platinum plugs it's running at the moment were still really clean (well for plugs) and the oil wasn't black, was still a healthy colour.

However tip trans fluid looks over filled, I'm going to have to get it looked at.
