you cant get bose in RX and ARX models (with the integrated stereo) and they only have beige (RX) and tan (ARX) leather seats. ARX MIGHT be available in full black interoir, but AFAIK only RS (AXIS?) came in all black.

Thanks for that. Neither were important and from the research I've done here it looks like I'm better off with an RS or maybe an RX anyway. I'll see whats around.

doh sorry dude. you CAN get bose in RX and ARX as they DO have the integrated stereo. AXIS might have a bose option. RS does not.

my bad!

Cheers mate. Just figured if I found one with the Bose setup I wouldnt feel the need to replace the stereo straight away. Ill see how i go.

ive heard the bose and its nice. so nice that i bought the sb to go in my spare wheel. i now just lack the door speakers, and the amp behind the rear seats.
I'd love to get one of the little subs for the spare wheel, maybe I should just do some bodgy fibreglassing... I'm sure you'd be able to use a decent 6 or 61/2" driver and a tweeter in the sail to get the same result as a nearly 10yr old bose speaker, or is that what you mean anyway...:whistling: Edited by Daleo

Thanks for the input mate - I got my eyes on Allimports and nagoya

All imports AKA Eddy Tran is known to give his cars "hair cuts".

I'm sure you can work out what that means.

well i was 80% to buy but after reading numleg and jetwreck comments now I am thinking twice once more :-)

well im glad you saw this first.

if your planning on doing a Body kit.. dont get an ARX lol..

i want to change my front bar now but its a bitch with the wheel arches....

:( I still love my POS though..

is this for real? i am so close to buy one - i was meant to put deposit yesterday but holding back as I found one from Nagoya and still going to Northshore tomorrow

more input please

Mate just a head's up.....both the dealer's you were looking are a bit how's it going. I have seen both those yards stock about three time's and I personally would give them a miss. In saying that get the inspections done by the NRMA or similar ......whatever you do don't rush the purchase even if they start pressuring you saying there are other people interested(there are plenty of other good ones out there!....not saying that the car you are looking at is no good....just saying that if there was a problem they would more than likely not tell you. On the other hand I have heard that Nagoya does look after warranty claim's during that period!

It's worth paying a little more for a good car just quietly.....I learnt the hard way!

    • UPDATE: Hi all!  As we are getting towards the end of this thread where I’ll showcase final dyno numbers and graph, I wanted to provide an update. Tao from HyperGear has done an amazing job building the custom divided T3 housing for the G30. Communication was flawless, price was great, and now the housing is estimated to arrive in 7-10 days! Very very pleased. I must add, if someone is looking for an affordable turbo and end up reading this thread, I would recommend HyperGear. Genuine brands are the way to go as their proven reliability, predictable performance, and there’s a plethora of information available for specs, flow, and more. This HyperGear recommendation is based on their excellent communication, dedication, and willingness to listen to their customers. I particularly liked their ability to create custom adaptations tailored to specific needs, which is a HUGE benefit over other brands. And if we consider the HyperGear provided dyno results, it adds reassurance knowing their turbos can compete against genuine brands. Next update will be after the dyno!
    • I've previously seen people post up "dress up bolt kits" for RBs but don't remember seeing them specify the full contents. I can only really suggest you grab the verniers and start measuring, and keep in mind the cam cover and timing cover bolts are both quite specific with a wider unthreaded section where the bushes sit, that will make it hard to get aftermarket replacements which tend to be all thread (set screws) or for longer bolts a flat section with a shorter threaded section at the end
    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
