Car making a Clucking Noise

hey,

I car is making a Kluck, it doesnt happen all the time i would say around 40% of the time, it sounds like the noise is coming from the driverside rear wheel. It happens sometimes on take off (Doesn't matter on the type of take off mainly on slow ones) it make a cluck noise. also sometimes when chaning from 4th into 5th i get the same noise.

I had alook around at the back and couldnt see anything, also took everything out of my boot and look around everything is ok in there nothing is moving.

i am soo confused about the whole thing got no idea where it is coming from and what it is? can anyone help?

p.s i have stock shocks in the back

Have a look at one of your drive shafts, it could be too small for your car

i wasnt the one that posted the link .... this is something that needs to be checked out by a mechanic ...... as it could be anything ...... if its when you first start up your car it could be the aircon acutuator.

Cars make a variety of noises but ive never heard of it being described as clucking ..... its just bloody funny the mental visions im getting ..... be it anyone that posted that their car made a clucking sound they would get the same shit.

it may be the rear subframe to body mount....my 34 mad a sqweaking sound once...it was this...i pulled it apart and greased it....it went away

could also be springs, brakes, anything

can you reproduce the noise at any stage? or is it random?, is it really loud or just minor?

my car occasionally makes quiet noises like you are talking about, but they are very quet and are nothing..

usually the way to fix it is do as i do ...... Turn the stereo up louder

hehe check your wheels bolts, if they are loose it makes a clunk fairly frequently

Knore is right, i had loose nuts on my old Pulsar after some twat at a service shop didnt tighten them up. It caused alot of strange sounding clunks.

Correct me if im wrong but chickens make a clucking noise, so im thinking there is a chicken in your car somewhere.

could even be one of the weights on your wheels (the ones they use for balancing) come loose and hitting the struts... I've seen that a few times

i have a similar noise comming from rear hub/axle area. it only happens on initial takeoff and on high boost/rpm. i am guessing its sub frame or axles or something.
