R32 Projector Options

Oki so I have the dreaded H3C projector headlights in abundance however i'm sick of the pathetic light they offer. I'm very tempted to go HID but I'm nervous about hot spots, melting things and the illegality.

I'd love something like the philips diamond vision except they don't come in H3c. I have read the offerings from supercheap's brand 'calibre' are terrible and not worth the money. Narva at repco doesn't seem to make any performance H3c.

What are people doing?

Use a H3 globe & run the extra wire to the steel bracket of the globe. There is a hole in it already.

Same mounting pattern, only difference is wiring...

Buy some & you will see exactly what I mean.

Sure you can get Phillips, etc in H3, not to mention ordinary globes are more common & therefore cheaper.

Yeah I was seriously tossing up doing this

Nothing wrong with doing it.

I stripped back the earth to expose some wire, looped that through the hole in the globe bracket then soldered it back to itself to secure it.

Had no problems & have been doing that for a fair while now...
