Sweet. cheers

Any idea why the Bosch 42lb injectors in the group buy are the same price as the Siemens 60lb?

I looked at the 42lb injectors but you will run out of Injector Duty cycle with very few mods. I am at 100% already and have not even touched the suction pipe yet. If you do the calculator on the GB thread you will see the 60lb ones are a minimum to stay below 80% Duty Cycle.

Siemens are a cheaper injector so you get better bang for buck

my limited knowledge about Neo engines and your VQ beasties the siemens would need to mod the fuel rail higher to suit a full length injector

Would the 42lb be good enough for 220-230awkw?

Or do I need to go to 550?

The issue is apparently LPG jets needs to run near max duty cycle to be effective. They don't flow well @ 60%, which is what 610cc ones will flow at on PULP @ 220ish?

Just remember that 230 awkw is more like 300kw at the motor.

So based on that with a max of

100% duty cycle is 47lb

90% duty cycle you would need 52lb injectors.

80% duty cycle it is 60lb injectors.

So I do think the 42lb ones are a good choice.

you'll be pushing more than that with the setup in line for you buddy. especially on e85.

Hah, I know its capable of hitting 300...but I ain't going near that...yet...

Going to just aim for 220-230 for now...if I have the coin for a GB rebuild in the future then i'll up the boost...

I think he mean't don't

Its all good. Spoke with the techs at ALPGW and they said I can go 610cc - they'll just put in 2 banks of gas injectors to match it as each gas injectors can only do 42lb max...

good work!

um make sure you get LFR7AIK spark plugs - or equivilent in heat range. otherwise you'll have issues like mine.. - well for the petrl tune anyway.

you have an RB - we have VQ. different engine entirely.

for safety? - i dont think running your injectors at 100% duty cycle is safe what happens when its colder weather, you get a boost spike, and not enough fuel to compensate - if i were you i would be going slightly bigger just to be safe.

e85 tune will automatically need 30% more duty cycle - you would want something that would compensate this, plus around 20% leway for safety? or would you rather it sit at its limits.

care to share your thoughts?

lol... Yes, I ment not up to the job.

for reference, my car is around 175 a4wkw with 370cc injectors (stock) i am at 100% duty cycle. I know this is an ECU dictated rich mix for safety but not sure I want to lean off much at 7250rpm.

I think 60lb is a little bit of over kill but 42lb is too small. So I would rather have it slightly oversized.

its far from unsafe as my controller doesn't spike i have an APEXi AVCR

my AFR's run about 11.5 WOT @ 98% I've heard of people bumping up the fuel pressure to get 110% out of their injectors

i will be getting 80lb to go E85 on mine

    • The Frenchy's kit is the way to go forward. A modern compressor that weighs about 1/2 as much, is at least twice as efficient, and will do a good job on R134a. And of course the kit has everything else you need to connect it up and have it work properly.
    • Hey all , I am in the process of having the AC system in my r32 GTST converted from r12 to r134a and I’m being told my compressor has gone bad and I will need a new one. I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions for what is the best route to go aside from dropping $1500 on a new oem one? I did see that Frenchy’s performance garage offers a kit to mount a Toyota compressor, has anybody actually used this kit on their car? Or is there anywhere I could purchase just a clutch? Any help is appreciated.
    • Well, your RB20 ECU loom won't have wires for the boost solenoid, that boost sensor, and possibly one or two other things. There could be differences in seemingly random things like the charcoal canister purge solenoid, because the 25DET has to handle boost in the vacuum system and the 20DE does not. I don't know - I haven't looked. It is very likely that all the most important things are same-same, being the main sensors like AFM, CAS, etc, and the injectors and ignition. Not that you'll need the AFM for the Haltech anyway. I would suggest that you would seriously want to sit down with the pinouts for both ECUs and just go through them and highlight green what is the same, orange what is different/missing, and make a plan from there. It's not going to be difficult. It will either be the same or need to be fixed.
    • yeaaa that's why I haven't done any wiring to the stock ecu harness because I have the haltech, but then that leads me to the other question of "is the pnp harness really plug and play?" or would I have to still switch some pins/wires over because the pnp is for the rb25det neo harness, and not for the rb20de neo harness. was really hoping to find something to spoon feed me since so many people have done rb20neo + t conversions, but man this is rough.
    • Temu raptor, lol. At least the owner isn't your typical ranger danger lot
