As you all go to bed tonight spare an extra thought and prayer for FNQ.

I know your all watching events as they unfold and I know you will do what you can after the event.

For those of you with Family up in the area of TC Yasi I hope all turns out well.

Maybe show your support in some way Pre and Post.

Richard

Best of luck qld'ers... I've got a godson (and his family I guess) living in townsville, in the surge zone. The baby is on high ground but my mate - for some stupid reason, stayed.

I'd be gone.

Got aunt Maud & aunt Ruby in Cairns

Got uncle George & aunt Marion in Earlville/Cairns

Got cousin David, his wife Heather and 2 kids in Cairns hinterland - they're the only ones who are safe from storm surge (at least).

If the eye crosses south at Innisfail,

* any towns to the north suffer less than the towns to the south of the eye - due to cyclones in the southern hemisphere spiralling clockwise

* the town of Innisfail itself has more cyclone-proof buildings than any other town pro-rata after it was rebuilt post cyclone Larry in '06

* better still if the hurricane/typhoon crosses in a low population spot

Prayers for all to be safe if poss.
