omp
Hello I got a set of V35 coupe wheels from a mate for cheap. Two have scratches around the rim and all of them have light scuffing on the spokes. I would like to neaten them up but to get them re-done in shadow chrome is $260 each, way more than I paid for them lol. Anyway the wheel repairer (Depulu) suggested a colour change to plain silver which brings the cost down to $185 each wheel (inc tyre removal/refit), which is much better for the wife . Anyway I was also thinking perhaps gun metal would look alright as well. It is a black V35 sedan. Here are 2 links I found of what I am thinking of The first is an Audi but they are 7 spoke wheels so sort of close-ish. Audi with gun metal 7 spoke gunmetal wheels The second is a set of 18 coupe wheels home painted to gun metal. coupe wheels painted gun metal If there are any other colour suggestions fire away. But not keen on black and not not keen on black with red lip....... Manny25
Black on black. And then paint the chrome bits in your car black and if you can paint the headlights black. And you have the nicest looking car. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/352599-v35-coupe-wheels-on-black-v35-sedan/#findComment-5659730 Share on other sites

omp
A chap posted this on BC.com. They aren't the coupe wheels, but are close. I think if the wheels were dished, hellyeah black with polished rim/lip. I am just worried with black wheels it will be to much black? Manny25
That's my baby. Getting the chrome on the windows, door handle and grill painted black. But cant find any spray painter willing to paint the headlights for me and DIY is too risky. So if anyone knows where i can get them done, feel free. omp
Hello Back again, using my non existent paintshop skills I used the wheels as shown on the Stagea (both in the light and shade) above and also found some pics of some V35 coupe wheels painted gun metal grey. I do like the tungsten in the shade but not so in the light. Suggestions?
