34 Front End Conversion

Couple of questions I'm hoping to get answered, these are for R34 parts.

Is there any difference in the shape of the headlights? As in are the GTR lights a different shape to the GT-T's?

Is the only difference between a GTR & GT-T bonnet the different materials used like the R33? I'm not sure but I think the GTR bonnet has sharper curves on it or something?

Can u fit a GTR front bar with a GT-T bonnet or do they both have to be GTR parts?

These should be pretty easy to answer but I was just hoping for some advice through the forums anyway.

Lights are the same.

You will need a GTR front bumper to fit the GTR bonnet and vicea versa, as the bonnets are completely different and I'm not sure if you will have to do the guards as well.

To fit a gtr front bar you will need gtr front guards, either that or get the front bar customized to fit the gtt guards ($$?)

Basically to do a GTR conversion properly on a GTT is the same as doing a GTR conversion properly on a GTST. Still have to replace everything on the front.

Not quite true.

You can fit a GTR bonnet to a GTT without the GTR bumper, however if you use the GTT bumper you will need to use a 'bonnet mole' or similar to fill the gap (Eastbear make them, among others; See http://www.hybridcustoms.com.au/Drift_Nissan_r34.html 'r34 GTT GTR Bonnet Clip').

Additionally, to fit the bonnet you would need different hinges and bonnet catch (though some people have managed to adapt the GTT items, it's not recommended).

You'll need bonnet, hinges, vertal support with bonnet latch. Bumper will fit fine if you loosen reinforcement bar and adjust up as high to the headlights as possible and force to fit with the fenders. Without using GTR fenders and headlights, slight overhang at fenders and headlights will sit slightly inwards near the grill.

Z tune front bumper can be bought from JSAI if their even around still .. ive heard some bad things about them though

Carmate probably has a copy too! I was on their site recently and they have a whole new range of copies ..

and yeah for the front end you'll need bonnet, front bumper and both guards and bonnet catches etc etc

Dori - the overhangs not too bad and it looks good!

gt-r guards are so beefed up though
