Hello All,

I'm a noob to the forum. Just wondered if I could get some URGENT assistance.

My R32 GTR has stalled and the engine will not start.

I have checked the following:

- all the fuses are ok

- fuel pump is working

- fuel filter is not blocked

- battery is fine

- starter motor is fine

- fuel tank has fuel

- immobiliser is working

- 12V are going into the spark plugs

I suspect it is the ignitor sitting on top of the engine has died. Today was a hot day.......

Does anyone in Brisbane have a spare ignitor I could borrow (desperately) and see if the car starts. I need to get the car off the street and into my garage.

I am more than happy to come and pick a spare one up.

sms or call 0438 673 426 if you are able to assist.

Cheers

K-Si

I have a couple of new Superspark ones here. Can't borrow but happy to sell one of them if you need one. I can't really lend out a brand new item to a guy with two forum posts if you understand sorry.

Hey guys,

Thanks for your replies.

I have temporarily fixed the problem by purchasing a 2nd hand ignitor from All Japs Virginia.

The car started straight away.

Just a quick one, has anyone changed their ignitor to an aftermarket one?

I have read that the HKS twin power are reliable.

Is this a common problem with skylines?

If it is heat related, has anyone relocated the ignitor to somewhere else other than the engine bay?

Cheers
