Electric/power Mirror Problems

Hi all,

Just havign a quick problem with the mirrors in my Series 1 R33, the power (retracting and going back out) mirrors don't work at all, i can adjust mirror angles etc. but the actual mirror doesn't work, the driver's side one retracts but won't go out when i hit the switch and the passenger side does nothing. Fuses seem OK, I checked them all the other day (being a tad anal about it), seem OK, maybe a motor?

Anyone had a similar problem?

I vagually recall the mirrors other direction is controlled by reversing the polarity via the switch, though it may have been Toyota mirrors

theres a tutorial somewhere about fixing this problem. commonly, it's a fault with the contacts that give power/signal to the motors, inside the mirror assembly.
