lol, rate it :)

How did the big dive up the inside go @ 35 seconds? It was chopped :D I think I know why......

From memory the GT3 was posting lap times around the 1min 18 mark. Good drive but wouldn't let faster traffic through which was a pain. The first time I went to get passed was the "big drive up the inside @ 35 secs", it wasn't pretty.... :whistling: 2nd attempt to get passed was a lap later also on the entry into a hairpin which went to plan.

Cheers

Typical Dak Dak driver..... many of them seem to remove their rear vision mirrors because they think they're the fastest ever. :P

There is no wanker like a Porsche wanker.....trust me I should know :)

Actually Ferrari wankers are kind of the best - red Schuie suits with matching Puma booties and a 10 second off the pace lap time. Thats where its at Maranello style :)

The Porshe guys are (typically) pretty bad, I've got much video footage to prove it :) AND the cracked widscreens!

But yeah, Ferrari guys are the worst! I'm yet to see one driven properly. lol

Thats just a classic. Well they always say if you dont fly off the track at some

stage you are just not trying hard enough. Welcome to the hard club Seb!!!

Good effort. BTW - do we get to see the rest of that footage soon.

As production designer I demand it...............

Congrats on the 13s mate - I knew you had it in you.

I'll look forward to getting out there and rubbing door handles with you soon.

Martin, you must be pleased to see this weapon out there pulling the times.

I will have to join the porsche club - looks like a lot of fun.

Willall racing at the porsche day. 1 2 and 3. Domination. I like that.

Maybe they should call it - Come out and get thrashed by a Nissan GTR day!

hahaha

Did they give you a talking to for passing under brakes Seb? I know that GT3 RS and it's not exactly standard as well!

I wasn't passing, just taking the better line... :whistling: Trailer part II is going up.

lol, very funny. :)

but if you think we have it bad here with porsche wankers you should try going to a track day in europe or even go to a nurburgring tourist session. nothing like putting around in your rental race car with say 250hp only to have a gaggle of 4 GT3RS's all pass you at once like they are fighting over an F1 grid spot as they blast through the fast uphill section at 280+ only to find you up there arse as soon as the track gets a little sliperry or though anything that requires hitting a few apexes. and the sheer numbers of them! nearly every bloke in germany must have a GT3RS. went to a private track day at Spa F1 circuit in belgium and it was like driving your way through a plauge of porsches. and yes the ferrari guys are worse but thankfully few and far between.

PS, I'm not saying all porsche owners are wankers. just that the wanky ones are wankers. and yes I'm jealous and will happily accept any GT3 RS thrown my way and join those manly bavarians and it up around europe. call me Hans.

    • Ahh got it. Well maybe install a drain for the catch can somewhere down low and accessible like a wheel well too....
    • Before you blow your car up, have you checked you've made all the correct modifications to the wiring if you're still using the RB20DE loom?   Some things to look at: The pin used for the map sensor on the RB25DET, is the same pin used on the RB20DE for the Ring Gear Crankshaft Position Sensor, no idea what you've got it plugged into now. The turbo pressure control valve solenoid you're talking about on the RB25DET, the same pin is used for the Variable Air Intake Control Valve on the RB20DE.   The factory manual has the wiring pinouts in it for you to check everything. It also has the diagnostics process to read codes out. In addition, there's a great table that shows what sensors and what actuators not functioning will relate to which signals. And Nissan confirm the as everyone else has from experience, the Solenoid being disconnected won't cause a fuel cut. However, the turbo pressure sensor being missing / wrong, WILL cause a fuel cut. https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual?fsm=Skyline%2FR34-Workshop-Manual-English.pdf
    • I've been hunting info on the G Series II - this is best I have found so far(Link below). Still waiting on the G35-1150 comp map, kind of very keen   So how do we go about getting precision on that little table of yours ?   https://turbosbytm.com/sites/default/files/product/technical-info/Garrett-G-Series-II-Product_Flyer 25 30 35_1.pdf
    • yeah I get ~0.6L per session into the catch can. very ethanoly. It ends up overflowing out the breather of the catch can on circuit days too even with a 2.3L capacity catch can and I only drain out ~0.6L max. So every session I have to come in and drain the catch can, which is a hassle. So this is me cracking the shits and doing everything I can without removing the motor (back of head sump drain/breather and oil restrictors off the table). plans short term are: full length splash plates remove oem cam cover baffle add foam and reinstall at -10 or -12 AN fittings to the side of the cam covers down to the sump (luckily I already have fittings in the sump) Yes the ~340,000km unopened motor is probably not helping things
    • I'd use any fuel safe foam....mine went in 15 years and 15 rebuilds ago, still getting reused I'd have to say I don't understand swapping to studs to fit a particular baffle unless you are having a massive blowby issue, and even if you are addressing crankcase not head breathing is probably the next step.
