Subscribed, nice work Steve, very much looking forward to this build.

Surprised your not going extra cc's to push that t04z....

Either way good luck with it all....

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .... have a friend with a 2.7L and similar setup

i would like to see both cars on the dyno and track then review.

This will decide what treatment the spare bottom end gets.

Beer Baron - Engine building is done by Chris Abes, not sure what his title is, ex C&B engineer/builder?

He has built both motors currently in the Tilton EVO and BSM GTR. All other work done to the car is by

Matt @ F&E Autoworks

sounds good mate. can't doubt his pedigree then as both the tilton evo and BSM GTR are top shelf cars. I thought BSM built their own engines though speaking to Jeff but not everyone is 100% clear all the time and Jeff is pretty hard of hearing these days!!

I'm running a jun 2.7 in my car now too but with little HKS 2530s. tempted to switch to something single but about to start some testing on some new turbos so will see how they perform. :)

Hey Jack,

i noticed your selling the BBS's - any clearance issues with 285 rubber on your car? or anybody who can answer this

i have ordered some 295's :P

Beer Baron - Let me know if your interested in parting with the 25/30's

Steve, no clearance issues with the 285's, have run them with 10.5'' ce28n's aswell without issues.

What profile are the 295's? 30? I'd be weary with that width on a 10.5 inch rim, make sure there isn't too much bulge in the tyre, otherwise you will get sidewall movement reducing grip. It may be ok but just keep it in mind....

What brand tyre are you going to use?

Profile on the tyres are 30 series - recommended rim width is 10-11 inch - i thought i would be pretty sweet with a 10.5inch rim.

I did run Ad08's last year in 285's and had some scrapage in hard corners. Im running some Korean tyres this time round

will let you know if I want to shift the 2530s but they are quite nice for now on the 2.7. it's running a motec and makes for a very responsive set-up. just needs some more power up top.

love the BBS LMs jack. I have some on my other 32. would LOVE these for my new 32. hmmm. very tempting. one of my fav R32 wheels but they do suffer a bit in the brake clearance department.

Yeah I have always had a soft spot for BBS LM's, but I have too many sets of wheels and need to get rid of some. You'd be surprised at the room they have for brakes, the Alcon 6 pot 365mm rotor package fits under these wheels no problem, was shocked when a fellow member bought the brakes and was worried they wouldn't fit under his wheels, and his were 18x9 not 18x10....

Anyway, back on topic, any updates Steve???

Hey guys,

yes this the the car that the gorilla supra babysat whilst i found the courage to break it to the mrs that this car is going to be

around for good.

SLLOOOOOWWWWLLLLYYY proggressing. Didnt realise there was so much shit to do and put back together after you spray a engine bay. Time is

of the essence as i need this thing tuned late next week to make the NSW sau track day on the 5th March. I would like to overlap the results

of this turbo setup with my mates -5 on a 2.6L and gtrs on a 2.7L

Im hoping that the shorter diff ratio with the six speed will make this car much more lively on the track - can anyone comment on this?

Heading into the workshop today to try and tinker with it. (It doesnt help when the mechanic is on cloud nine with his mrs and can only

think about closing the shop at 6pm everyday LOL )

Good to hear Steve, surprising how much you got to remove to respray an engine bay.

Short ratio duffs will help acceleration, but interesting to see how you would go at EC, long straight will test your car's gearing, just keep in mind you might reach the limiter in 6th before turn 1. Would definitely suit Wakefield though....

Where is the SAU track day?
