I'm not sure mate it's with the mechanic at the moment, my card does not want to go in reverse at all. I took it to a few auto transmission specialists and they recommended to get a new box.

I bought a new box it actually fits the only difference is the box I bought has 3 wire plugs coming out of the box and my current box only has one. Do you know if this can be changed? Have you ever come across this before? Or do you know any V35 specialists that might be able to help me?

Just thinking, can you just swap the valve bodys over? What part is gone in yours?

Nissan?

I could give you some numbers for Melbourne automatic places but I have no idea where you are as you havent filled in your profile.

Could you have just needed a trans computer as that is what controls the solenoids... Have you checked the plug on the computer?

Hey there, I'm in Sydney mate. I got a refund on the box that I bought now just looking for a new one. The car is with the mechanic at the moment, been searching everywhere for the gearbox with only one plug. The problem I originally had is that when I was trying to reverse it did not want to take until I give a little gas and then it eventually jumps into reverse however now it does not want to go in reverse at all the forward gears are all fine. I went to an auto transmission specialist who advised me that it would cost about $4500 to fix and said it would be cheaper just getting a second box. Where is the computer? and how would I check it?

So at the moment the gearbox is out of the car and it is sitting at the mechanics, what would you recommend?

Thanks for the help Scotty appreciate it.

Rush.

For 4 grand I had my box fully built with Dominator stall, power clutch packs and H/D valve body, what were they offering to do just find the fault? Bugger me.

It sounds like the solenoid for reverse is buggered, is there a service light up when this happens? Perhaps you could call Kewish Automotive, they built the box for me and have been very helpful so far.
