Hehehe....i told you!!!  next time bring the mazda out!!! :D  I think james and martin regretted being in my car the first time you disappeared!!

and man do i have alot to learn about windy roads!!!  what a struggle to keep up!  and you and the s15 weren't even trying!!!! :

Hey gizmo!  you should do what i do when on call!  drag your laptop everyone and just log on remotely!! :):(:P

Next cruise!?  a month away is probably good!  whose going to organising it?!?! :D

Next cruise, I will bring it out if I am still in the country. Just say where and when.

Last night, you should have tied a rope on us and been dragged for a ride. :-)

I had alot of fun backing off every every so often and then chasing down the S15 ha ha ha That is until I was getting showers of bitumen and sparks hitting the car, coming out from underneath the S15! LOL

I think you did pretty good organising it. Maybe you missed your calling ;-)

I tried to drag out a new more cars, but everyone was either busy or sick in bed. Too short notice from me. Next time I will bring another dozen or so cars.

Mona has no life :)

Shush you!!! and yes Matt was in the golf! I'd have introduced you, if you'd bothered to say more than 'hi' before running away :)

Simon - thats an easy fix!!! bring her out to all the cruises so she can fight off the floozies!!! :D and nah...its not my puppy! i wish :( i want an alaskan huskie though!!! soon soon! :)

Matt- i'll make sure theres cruises organised for when you are around!! i'm sure james and martin will be fighting over your front seat!! especially if its the mazda!!! You and the s15 were crazy!! i lost site of you both so many times! and the air fighter pilot (sorry! i can't remember your name :( ) refused to overtake me! so i was stuck trying to figure out what was happenin ahead! :(

Thanks brenden!!! which car were you in?! I wanna know who was in the old school soarer!! that was NICE!!!!! :)

I got home near 3am and fell straight to sleep, then up for a full day at work around 7.

But not before on the way home last night, I saw a skyline in the carpark at macca's(R33, Silver.)

so I stopped, crept through the car park slowly and then realised there were cops walking back to 2 seperate cars, that was enough and I was off quicker then cheese in the!

got left behind a bit on the freeway though, I had that bl00dy alpha fly up behind me flashing his lights. He thought it was funny I think and scared the crap out of me as I was over at that point

but all in all a good night, I'll be in for the next one.

cheers

mark

whinge whinge Mona :)

oh and did you realise what I was getting at when I stuck my head out the window on the way home holding my ear??? :):worship:

Its called stealth tosh! :D And that clubsport flew past me!! YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( i didn't see an alpha :(

Hey Mr R32!! that was me!!!! i yelled at you to stop, but you didn't hear me :( i thought you would get to the end and u-ey back, but you didn't :) and the coppers were still there when we left...apparently they get free maccas!?

And its good to see everyone had fun!!! :) YAY!!! more cruises peeps! :worship:

I saw the Commodedoor and thought it was a cop too !

Yeap, that was me in the FLOG. Just my little daily driver. You should have come up and said hello, I dont bite! I kind of felt a bit like a 5th wheel, not being in a Skyline and not knowing anyone on the cruise. I used to drive an R33GTST for the past 3.5 years and only sold it a few weeks ago. This is the last pic I have of it. http://www.hitman.hm/IMG_2005s.jpg

I was absolutely pissing myself laughing when we were coming down Pennant Hills Rd on the way home. A couple of Skylines were still with me, so they must have seen this. At a set of lights I had a quick play race with the MISGSR Lancer. You needed a feeler gauge to pick the difference between us through 1st and 2nd gear, but by that point I thought that over 100km/h down that road was fast enough, so I backed it off. The Lancer kept going WOT all through 3rd pulling a good 10 cars ahead after I had long since backed off, then put the hazzards on to claim the win. LOL Go the street racer !!!

I have to say I was impressed that everything ran smoothly and no-one broke anything or crashed. Most of the cruises I go on are ruined by brainless idiots doing stupid things, and at least one car needs a tow truck to get home. Again, it was a nice bunch of people, a good stretch of road, and a drama-free night out. I dont think anyone will contest this, but Mona you have to be the coolest chick I have ever come across ! :-)

Bring on the next cruise.

mona, i was driving tha commodore with ash,...

we followed a silver ss up the hill from gosford (i think i was behind u ronin.....once we passed the roadworks he pulled over and stopped.....figured if he was a cop he would have pulled us over by then.....ah well

    • Yep, pretty much what you said is a good summary. The aftermarket thing just attached to the rim, then has two lines out to valve stems, one to inner wheel, one to outer wheel. Some of the systems even start to air up as you head towards highway speed. IE, you're in the logging tracks, then as speeds increase it knows you're on tarmac and airs up so the driver doesn't even have to remember. I bet the ones that need driver intervention to air up end up seeing a lot more tyre wear from "forest pressures" in use on the highway!
    • Yes, but you need to do these type certifications for tuning parts. That is the absurd part here. Meaning tuning parts are very costly (generally speaking) as well as the technical test documentation for say a turbo swap with more power. It just makes modifying everything crazy expensive and complicated. That bracket has been lost in translation many years ago I assume, it was not there.
    • Hahaha, yeah.... not what you'd call a tamper-proof design.... but yes, with the truck setup, the lines are always connected, but typically they sit just inside the plane of the rear metal mudguards, so if you clear the guards you clear the lines as well. Not rogue 4WD tracks with tree branches and bushes everywhere, ready to hook-up an air hose. You can do it externally like a mod, but dedicated setups air-pressurize the undriven hubs, and on driven axles you can do the same thing, or pressurize the axles (lots of designs out there for this idea)... https://www.trtaustralia.com.au/traction-air-cti-system/  for example.... ..the trouble I've got here... wrt the bimmer ad... is the last bit...they don't want to show it spinning, do they.... give all the illusion that things are moving...but no...and what the hell tyre profile is that?...25??? ...far kernel, rims would be dead inside 10klms on most roads around here.... 😃
    • You're just describing how type certification works. Personally I would be shocked to discover that catalytic converter is not in the stock mounting position. Is there a bracket on the transfer case holding the catalytic converter and front pipe together? If so, it should be in stock position.
    • You talking about the ones in the photo above? I guess that could make sense. Fixed (but flexible) line from the point up above down to the hubcap thingo, with a rotating air seal thingo. Then fixed (but also still likely flexible) line from the "other side" of the transfer in the hub cap thingo up to the valve stem on the rim. A horrible cludge, but something that could be done. I'd bet on the Unimog version being fed through from the back, as part of the axle assembly, without the need for the vulnerable lines out to the sides. It's amazing what you can do when you have an idea that is not quite impossible. Nearly impossible, but not quite.
