hey guys, my car had an emanage ultimate in it before i bought it - it has been tuned to suit the car - but there was a missfire occuring that was put down to a faulty injector signal adapter (greddy part that is necessary for the Neo). so the previous owner took it out (plus i think he was being cautious for getting the RWC).

due to the fact that my fuel consumption is about 350L to a tank, and i can see fuel pouring out the exhaust on boost in third, i'm thinking reinstalling the emanage might get me some better AFR's and more power (previously dyno'd at 206rwkw with the emanage ultimate installed).

it should be a simple matter of plugging in the comp again with the inj adapter as the tune is already on the emanage, but i will probably get trent at status run it up on the dyno just to be safe. the only thing that has been changed on the car since pulling it out is the EBC settings as it was spiking and hitting boost cut on WOT.

so i'm thinking, if i'm paying for dyno time and potential altering of the map - should i consider

- installing an 040 with 12v mod (Does anyone know of bosch 023 fits in tank?)

- installing front pipe (if i can find one to fit!)

car is stock turbo, gizzmo EBC, FMIC and 3". dont plan on changing the turbo any time soon, so given that 12psi is going to be my restriction, is it worth upgrading the pump or front pipe? or just tune it as is and do it down the track if i upgrade the turbo?

thanks for your help!

I have just picked up my stag and am looking at getting a Nistune installed in the next few weeks. From the discussions I have had and things I have read I get the impression it is definitely worth doing the front pipe and having a high flow cat to make the most of the exhaust. I think JustJap do front pipes for stageas which are supposed to be good. My tuner has also recommended doing the fuel pump, so I will be getting the bosch 040 as well.

sorry my mistake, i already have a front pipe - i meant a split dump pipe off the turbo.

from what i've read its hard to a split dump that fits - the standard rb25 items foul on something?

and stock pump appears to support 250kw easily, and seeing as the turbo will throw a wheel long before then - no real point in upgrading it if/until i upgrade the turbo.

I have no idea if it will fit a Stagea, maybe give them a call / email / pm on here and see if they know?

If it does fit, you might as well get it done before the car is tuned, although I doubt the dump pipe by itself would make a big difference enough difference to require retuning, if you installed it after the car was tuned.

yeh i dont think this one fits. it fits S1 stageas but not S2?? someone correct me if i'm wrong?

wouldnt have a huge effect on the tune, if anything it would result in boost coming on earlier in the rev range which might cause a lean out down low, but it would be unlikely and really only an issue if it was tuned on knife edge....which it won't be. for the amount of hassle it's worth in terms of removing and replacing, i'd be more inclined to just leave it.....

waiting on a call back from chequered/status.

Interesting...

I am in a similar boat - just building up the parts before a nistue addition. Have a 3 inch from the cat back and I am considering getiing the rest the same, from thoe sounds of it its not worth it? Any opinions?

Have series 2 Stagea

Cheers

Guy Most have fitted BELLMOUTH DUMP,it`s best on Stock setup,

Best back for $$ is Dump & cat back ,as you again Power across range,

i went from 300/350 to 400/450 per tank,60 odd litres,

that was only full system, NO FUEL PUMP needed,

i still run stock boost,

i see many on here that have NISTUNE,

see lots of Prices as many will say you can RUN without a Tune as it has base tune in,

i have read few shops quoting 4/5 hours DYNO TIME to tune  ,

seeing other Stagea owners runnig car with out tune for a while with no harm done,

i have asked a few Shops about this

few said no its bad it needs a tune ?,

Then i have asked few Friends that tune & they said its cool,

as DYNO is to clean up few parts that need sorting out,

many on here have NISTUNE now & are happy ,

so best ask them what they have done & what they think about whats best,

Hope it helps

Cheer`s Chuckie.

The bellmouth will fit the Nissan flange only so no problems for a stock turbo or a bolt on solution like a HKS GT-RS, HKS2835 kai (or whatever the ProS replacement is called) but not suitable for a Garrett turbo with Garrett turbine (unless you put on an aftermarket AVO style turbine housing but they don't seem to put out the numbers).

Justjap ones should fit but there has been some to & fro on what will and won't fit so choose carefully and ask JJ lots of Q's.

ok. i'll hold off for now until i work out what turbo, if any, i want to upgrade to.

nno response from status, so i'll give chasers a call. they're over my side of town anyway. more expensive, but shouldnt need more than an hour on the rollers.

Did you leave a phone message with STATUS? I would consider waiting until you get to pick the brains of Trent before deciding on going too far.

yep left a message. i'll call again this afternoon but if i dont hear from them before tomorrow lunch i'll call chasers. i had a wolf tune done by them a few years ago and was reasonably happy.

there really isn't a lot to be done with the emanage - as i have said, they have already tuned it for the current mods. only thing that will require fiddling is the boost controller to make sure i'm getting the quickest response, but realistically i can do that myself.

X-Force bellmouth to suit R33 GTST will fit. Had one on mine once upon a time and bolted straight up.

can't find anything from x-force anymore and they seem to sell them only as a full system on the x-force website.

there is this one though?

but chuckie seems to think it doesnt fit??
