So who wants to be pit crew next year whistling.gif

Yeah I shall volunteer for this role. Sounds like an awesome time out and the thoughts of going out later and hitting some clubs just sets it off lol

So who wants to be pit crew next year whistling.gif

keen.

how hard is it to enter clubsprint class as a privateer? ive been playing around with aerodynamics in scale... the 33's getting a full sealed underbody but seeing the track i dont think it will have enough power still :S

Oh bad luck for him.

Probably move to JIC crimped fittings on braided hose and avoid that happening again. Its never much fun!

(This is how we do all of our GTR lines - high pressure oil leaks are always bad news on the track)

yeah wont be using pushlock again... too risky. had a chat to my local hydralink guy today and will go with single wire hydraulic hose with crimped JIC fittings..that shit aint coming off lol.

in the end damage was spun number 2 bearing and a cracked crank...am attempting to rebuild it using new crank, acl race bearings, APR rod bolts and N1 oil pump. hopefully should cover the bases

oh and cheers for the offer! i may still hit you up. depends how busy my hydralink guy is.

haha yeah ive been watching that thread for ages... the mind boggles at how nissan get it so right sometimes.. and yet so many ppl have issues with N1 pumps. it begs the question was there a prob with the design/manufacture of the pump or a problem with the fitting/rest of the build that contributed to the failure.

i think i'll either reuse the OEM neo pump (i inspected it... looks brand new still.. no bearing material went thro it. or go a billet geat set for the oem housing.

    • So you can then buy a more expensive, less reliable, more boring and slower replacement that's harder to work on and you have no knowledge of?
    • Will take much better photos when the time comes, I still want to do a sub 1m50s on street tyres at SMSP (just because). Then will slap on proper tyres and see if the car can get down to 1m40~45s range. If it goes sun 1m40s without aero, then wow.. but I don't expect the shit box to go that fast.
    • I have the OS Giken R3C with the GM 26 spline input shaft in my 32(Rb32 with only around 750hp atw) and its a pig to drive. Its actually very forgiving when its cold when when its warmed up, it chirps the tires even when trying to take off slowly. Mind you though, part of this has to do with my clutch master(Non-OEM) so the travel on the rod is shorter. How did you get 1130hp at 85% @e50?! Are you running a stroker? If so, I would recommend the R3C purely because it handles the abuse.
    • First time trying out a regularity format at the Peter Hall Memorial 6hr. It was an interesting experience with everyone on our team being brand new to the format. Safe to say reading and understanding the rules and scoring system would have really helped our team. We finished firmly last thanks to the majority of all laps across the team being penalties. In the words of my teammate Matt “Turns out we are both too quick and illiterate.” Another car had entered before us and already secured number 12 so i needed to clearly cross them out to avoid confusion for any other blue calsonic livery'd r32s at the event. The team consisted of an R32, an AE86, a supercharged V35, and a Kia CEED GT bought at salvage. I ensured we all had matching "Peer Pressure Racing" banners and overalls. This is the longest session of back to back hot laps the car has ever done (20mins no cool downs on a hot day).  It was a true test of the cooling /oil control mods and they certainly made big difference! Enjoy watching me lose 14 concurrent points for the team:  Unfortunately I only managed 45mins of track time over 3 sessions (20min, 20min, 5min) out of my allotted 90mins before my gearbox let go. Something related to shifter fork resulting in 3rd being neutral quickly followed by all gears neutral, then it being lock in two gears at once and unable to move. Optimistically there were no bad noises. But I am yet to pull box out and diagnose. Fortunately i was also to snag a tow home while I slapped a permit on the Kiaa which came on a trailer
    • Haha thanks for reply man Trying luck and Hoping to find one from all the sources, it's hard to find one as Nissan stopped production on sunroof glass panels
