No it wouldn't work.

If you really want to spend some money, get a plazaman or hypertune RB20 plenum that sits on the factory RB20 runners.

The RB26 plenum conversion from the results I've seen on a mates RB25 was horribly expensive and not many gains.

Also dont forget to factor in the cost of making up new piping to the intercooler on the intake side.

Nismo or Plazmaman. Nismo if you like the old school cast styling or you can spend roughly the same and get a f**king awesome looking (and performing) polished stainless plenum and throttle body. I'm ordering my Plazmaman soon, looking forward to it immensley. 20% Power gain is usually typical. I've got 230rwkw with the stock plenum....go figure

FYI an RB26DETT plenum is designed for an RB26DETT engine.

Spend your money on a bigger snail, cams and a good tune first

All the plenum is good for is making your engine bay look pretty

If you have all the other big power mods, an aftermarket plenum gives a good performance gain mate.

Have you not read all the posts saying that changing the plenum on a Rb20 is the same as setting fire to $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ you WILL lose 20% power not gain any.

You won't lose 20% power.. it should actually flow slightly better up top so there might be an increase in peak power. Will probably LOSE at least 20% torque down low though.

zebra, you seem to target me regularly with negative comments. kindly stop it.

i would say no, unless its done correctly you will lean out some of the cylinders. It was designed to have the t/b in the centre and by moving it you change where/how the air flows.

Had a mate with a very high powered (at the time) r33 that tryed this and poped the motor.

If you want a cheapish forward facing plenum for an RB20 then just do what I did, cut an RB20 lower manifold up and weld a GTR plenum chamber to the runners.

It doesn't line up perfectly but the RB20 runners are bigger than the RB26 runners so after some heating/bending of the 1st and last runners on the RB20 side, a happy medium was found between the two sides.

See if this guy can make you something up if your deadset on a forward facing plenum

He's also on the forums but I can't remember his username.

Good quality shit but I think they have a price to suit :/
