Ok so, One of the cars I currently have is a R34 GT (aka non turbo) and it's also tiptronic (boo - But nice for "friendly" driving) ... I'm considering purchasing a Rb26dett from a R32gtr or maybe a r33gtr ... it would come with tranny, turbos engine and all major bits.. (Happy to transplant the transmission into my R34 to make it manual)

My question is - Is it possible to swap the engine into my R34 without INSANE costing? ... what would be involved? ... can anyone think of any parts that I might need? ... has anyone done it before that can give insight? .... and finally, can anybody recommend anywhere in WA that is capable of doing it without making a huge debacle of it. (Please don't recommend Xspeed.)?

Cheers :)

How much cash do you have?

Because i cannot see you getting away with less than 8-10k in all honesty.

As to get it legal you'll need to change the brakes over, which means going 5-stud also as its too time consuming with 4-stud

Then there are issues with the single spinner diff - gearbox isnt a straight swap

etc etc.

Better off just selling and buying a GT-T with a RB25NEO

Will work out cheaper and you can still get 260-280rwkw safely with minor mods.

IMO putting an aged 26 in, is going backwards.

Also not sure about WA laws - but over here you cannot put an OLDER motor into a NEWER chassis.
