Lower Seat Rails For R34

I did a search through the forums and it seems my problem isn't unique, I'm a big guy (185cm/6'2" and 120kg) and the seat is just a little too high for me, even at the lowest it can go. It's not all that uncomfortable, my hair is scrapping the roof liner. However I want to be able to take the car out for a track day or two sometime soon (both drag and circuit) and there is NO way I'm going to be able to fit a helmet on without driving with my head out the sunroof or developing a severe krick in my neck.

I know a few people have fabricated/altered the standard rails to lower the seat down (going after market buckets doesn't appeal to me, try to have less reasons to be picked on by the 5-0) but I wanted to know if anyone knew of any after market rails that are a direct bolt on to the stock 34 seats but will help me get that last little bit of head room I need? Are there any issues re: defect checks that the cops can pick on for having the rails altered? Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with getting this done? Or am I just going to have to bite the bullet and get some fully hektik mate aftermarket seats and rails?
