Neo Rb25/30 Harmonic Balancer

Hi every 1, as the title suggests I'm trying to find out some info so that I can decide on which harmonic balancer to get.

The problem is that I can't seem to find any thing other then OEM harmonic balancers to suit a NEO Rb25. From what I can see ROSS, ATI or ATOMIC all advertise that they make them for R33 Rb25 or simply only state RB25. To my knowledge R33 and R34 Rb25 balancers are different.

What is every 1 else using? Stock?

But its a rb30 block so u shouldnt need a neo balancer,

Just use what other people use for there normal hybrid builds

I will if all the belts line up. I currently have the old Neo 1 on my Rb3025.

The neo engine uses the same belt setup as the normal rb25.

All non-viscous type harmonic balancers are tuned to the crankshaft, so you should either;

- use one that's made for the crank, so AFAIK only RB30 ones are suitable (unless you can confirm that other rb cranks have the same harmonics as the 30)

- use a viscous one

The non-viscous ones are the typical inner hub -> rubber ring -> outer ring style like OEM ones.

I don't know about factory balancers, but plenty of us in Perth with 3L's are running RB26 ATI units.

I thought it was more like the head, use whatever suits your ancillaries.

Hey Bubba, I was thinking along the same thoughts as well. Why would nissan list a diff part number for R33 and R34 Rb25's. soooo I went a brand new OEM 1 for $300 just to avoid all the grief of it not fitting.

Wow is that all brand spanker OEM balancers cost?? I paid $700odd for my ATI balancer
