Hey guys,

im in the middle of buying a r33 gtst and i want to get it checked out by someone that is more specific with knowledge about skylines.

About 5 months ago i used MTA when my parents bought there toyota and they managed to find out even the smallest detail.

Im just wondering who has used what company and what they found on the car you had inspected and if there is someone that focus's on skylines or imports in general.

Thanks Costa

Man honestly, you can find everything out your self. Without special paint analyzing equipment there are still telltale signs to look for in resprays, panel repairs etc. An RTA check will tell you if the car has had any logged repairs and other details.

The rest is knowing what to look for and where to look for it. Call up E & M Motors and ask them for the guy they use for their inspections. Its an independent company. They know imports and exotics inside out.

I got an nrma test done when I bought my 34, it was completely useless, didn't find out any of the things I actually needed to know but didn't notice, such as the wrong tyres for the rims on all corners, the front two tyres being completely different, the spacers on the front were different sizes (wtf!!!) etc etc etc

iv rung up mta but they dont do compression tests so i might give crd a call tomorrow.

someone told me about just jap to do a compression test but ill have to ring and see if they do inspections aswell

What I meant was that the nrma 200pt checks were meant to be the way to go, at least they were meant to be good. And mine was jack sh!t

thats weird iv heard nothing but good stories about nrma and there checks but maybe thats why they dont do them anymore coz they wer shit
