Nissan Nutter
Hey all i need some advice about getting my car registration switched over from N.T plates to N.S.W plates as i am moving to Terrigal in the next week . i currently own a 1993 r32 gtst skyline with a fair few modifications (e.g disco potato turbo, apexi power fc computer, apexi electronic boost controller, apexi turbo timer, k&n pod filter ,gtr injectors, z32 airflow meter, hks fmic, oil cooler, full hks exhuast, hks cams and cam wheels, bosh 044 fuel pump, aeromotive fuel pressure regulator with fuel pressure gauge, big red coil packs, dba slotted rotors) My rego from the N.T doesn't run out until may but i am worried with all the modifications i will find it hard to get it registered in N.S.W any advice at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Edited February 19, 2011 by Nissan Nutter Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/354448-need-advice/ Share on other sites
Mosullivan
Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but a NSW blue slip requires the car to be stock standard? Unless you have a engineers certificate? leer34
i believe that that is the case the car should be stock and completely roadworthy for a blue slip, but some mechanics may be lenient on modifications, especially if they have been done properly and dont make the car unsafe to drive. just have to find a mechanic that will pass it....maybe soem of the guys from central coast area might know of someone in that area and PM you?? good luck with it mate Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/354448-need-advice/#findComment-5678436 Share on other sites
The Bogan
Hey all i need some advice about getting my car registration switched over from N.T plates to N.S.W plates as i am moving to Terrigal in the next week . i currently own a 1993 r32 gtst skyline with a fair few modifications (e.g disco potato turbo, apexi power fc computer ( hide hand controler), apexi electronic boost controller(hide boost controler), apexi turbo timer( hide or remove), k&n pod filter(make/buy a enclosure) ,gtr injectors, z32 airflow meter, hks fmic, oil cooler, full hks exhuast, hks cams and cam wheels(cover on), bosh 044 fuel pump, aeromotive fuel pressure regulator with fuel pressure gauge, big red coil packs, dba slotted rotors) My rego from the N.T doesn't run out until may but i am worried with all the modifications i will find it hard to get it registered in N.S.W any advice at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ive typed in bold the things I would do first, Blue slips are not that hard as long as the car is safe and not to loud. Get the thing engineered, cost me under 1k. Find a good local tuner/mechanic who do the slips and they should be able to tell you what you need to fix prior. Your not smuggling guns and ammo so it shouldnt be to hard if you do what is needed. MBS206
The car doesn't need to be standard, it just needs to be road worthy and legal. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/354448-need-advice/#findComment-5679115 Share on other sites
