R33 Nismo Skyline

I'm after some info/history on the 1996 R33 "Nismo" Skyline.

Apart from the badges all over the car, what else was sorted on these cars?

Were they lightened, different diff, etc?

How many were made?

Is there a link to a site I can have a look at?

No, it's the GTS-T.

There wasnt a NISMO GTST .

The only NISMO R33 was a production run of 99 cars called 400Rs of which only 44 were ever sold to the public :headspin:

I think there was a Nismo Type M, which has the Supra style spoiler on it. I don't think it was much different from the normal Type M though aside from some cosmetics.

I saw a GTS-t with a supra (aero) type spoiler on it... Just assumed the guy was an idiot who's car was having an identity crisis.

There was a 1998 Type-MR model.

These are the only photos I have that show cosmetic differences.

I believe there was a Nismo version i believe it just had some cosmetic things inside and out no hardware based stuff from what i had found. The one above my post was a 40th anniversary one

I have a vid of a few R33's & r32's running around a track.

It says something about a R33 Nismo. It is definately a GTS-T. For a while it was leading the pack until it went wide on a corner and the 32 GTR zipped up the inside.

Handled well and off the line had no problems at all breaking traction in second.

how much do those 280 MRS command compared to a regular r33 of similar age?

I went searching online a few nights ago & came up with nothing. I can only guess it's one of only a few out here(in oz),with mainly cosmetic changes. None the less, it is a sweet looking car & goes as well as it looks.I may make it to the show & shine at Mingara on 28th, and may be able to sort this mystery out.

Well Nismo would have maybe built some for racing possibly? Otherwise its probably the Nismo LM GTR they're talking about...

It's in japanese but not hard to find.
